We always feel good every time we receive words of affirmations and praises especially when we exert too much effort into something. Good words, then, encourage a person to pursue greater good and to aspire to do something greater. How about allowing ourselves to be vessels of good words to someone? Tomorrow's challenge will require us to use words. In a post-it, write words of affirmation to your classmate, workmate, teacher, boss, village guard, a stranger, or any person whom you think need words of affirmation. Our community taught us the value of one to ones on a regular basis. Undeniably speaking, it helps both the members and the leaders grow personally and spiritually. How about our relationship with our family? Is it also growing spiritually? Do we realize the essentials of constantly nourishing our relationship with our family by having a regular dialogue with them?   It’s easy to take things for granted, especially when we forget its value. One of the many possible things that we underappreciate is the Holy Mass. For some of us, it becomes a mere routine since we attend it daily, every other day and/or most probably every Sunday. And for others, it seems to be more of a burden than a source of comfort. As one CFC Youth for Christ, we will attend the Holy Mass tomorrow at a parish near us. May we learn to value it more every day. She never doubted the Lord. There was no written word in the bible that she showed weakness of faith. It was because of her that the Word became flesh. Mama Mary is our best inspiration of how to love more, how to remain faithful ‘til the end, how to be obedient and how to fully trust the Lord and His promises. I'm a believer, just a question. If God is real and He is in control, why would He let His people be at a certain point of their lives where they would doubt His existence? I have my thoughts, but yeah, please dont judge/hate me 4 asking this. ;)

Hi bro. When we say that He is in control, I believe it doesn't mean everything we do is actually being controlled by Him (that's why there are doubts, temptations, sin, free will, etc.) It's very hard to love your once favorite teacher if she gives you a failing grade. It's hard to forgive a friend when he/she makes a grave mistake. When our parents leave us for some unacceptable reason, it's hard to accept what they've done since we believe that they shouldn't have. I believe it runs like that. When we are being torn between faith and reality, we always tend to believe and rely more on what concreteness we feel. We focus so much on what is happening in front of us that we don't consider to ponder on things, what its significance in our lives are, how it would make us stronger, or how it would affect the strength of our faith. When we are pushed so hard by the things that happen in this world, it really is hard to believe why we have to suffer if we have a God. But he is not doing it to make us suffer. I personally believe it comes down to what we all basically believe in, that those are just tests.

It would be very hypocritical for me to say that you should never doubt God. It will always be there. We lost a huge lot of money. A fire ate our homes. A huge storm destroyed our families. And during those moments, we can't easily say 'Thank you God'. I think these are moments when we start to doubt. We pray for help, for our money to come back, for our homes to be built again, for our families to live again, but when He won't give all of those back, we feel like He is making us suffer (even for things we think we don't deserve). In every opportunity, God prepares us for something better. Something that will make us stronger if we choose to get out of it. It would be very unfair for God to give us everything we want, a perfect life, a perfect family, perfect set of friends, perfect job and opportunities, because we won't learn anything significant about life and its reality.

If we are faced with doubts, we just need to take our time and talk to Him, and try to listen to that still small voice. The world is turning round 24/7. So much happens in a day. We sometimes forget to talk with Him, we forget about our faith which is the most essential thing for our feet to stay on the ground. We need to have a strong faith, so we won't have to doubt anything He gives us, and through faith we would learn how to turn even the biggest problems into something we would be excited to face and conquer. Just pray brother. It is not just enough for us to believe, but we just need to have faith.
