Re-reading the Adrian scenes from Shadow Kiss made me realize that Adrian is basically the Sydney Sage of Moroi world… The guy used political connections to get them to attend the trail (most of Sydney’s job as an Alchemist depended on making & using those connections)… he spends most of the book being a spirit magic nerd with Lissa (doing actual research & getting witch lessons) and he’s even a fast learner like Sydney since he learns healing from Lissa before she could even grasp auras… when asked for a translation he went all “don’t you learn Romanian here?” and he just knows all sorts of random Moroi stuff like their secret societies. Like I keep scribbling, “OMG this is so Sydney Sage” in this book every other scene. Adrian is a freggin magic nerd!

Yesterday I went to a book shop nearby and saw a Bloodlines copy. It was on a stand in the front, I feel like it means it's selling good.

And It made me sad again that we've never got to see our golden girl Sydney Sage on screen.

I just hope one day Richelle decides to write a continuation to the story.

So when I was reading VA many MANY years ago before the movie adaptation I used to imagine Lisa as Taylor Swift. I wasn't even a fan back then (but ofc I am now), she just somehow popped into my head and casted herself as Vasilisa
