So, while on my other app that I scroll on (YouTube), I happened upon an animation of gerson whooping the knight's ass because he absolutely could. While reading the comments, I found this one, posted by who I'll call Debate Prompter A:

...as gerson, again, would whoop the knights ass. This prompted some replies, of which Debate Prompter B appears, and states the following:

.. which is clear bs. I decided to kindly inform him that this was kinda stupid, by saying this:

..which should have ended it all. I shouldn't have had to reply again, but this is where we meet our antagonist, the final boss of deltarune fans, as he had NO COMPREHENSION SKILLS!!!

This was very stupid, and I explained how it was:

(ignoring my typo,) I explained that gerson was a lightner. I probably should have specified (because he's stupid..) that I meant that he WAS a lightner, specifically that he was dead. This dumbass didn't get it and spouted this nonsense:

The point about his name being unmentioned is good, but overshadowed by the absolute malarkey he spouts before it. To finish this off, I close with this long ass speech (if you couldn't tell, I like typing a lot):

The knight may not be who you think; an essay.

we know from experince that lightners dont change much when going into the dark world; sure, kris becomes blue, but they dont get taller or change in their build. ok they do get one pixel taller but that's because of the shoes

the most that changes about lightners are their outfits, color schemes, and HP, along with any "items" they had. while dess could have just physically deteriorated to the point she became anywhere near the shape of the knight as a result of something, i highly doubt it(being trapped in the bunker for a while doesn't grant you an eyeball inside your ribcage).

there's also the fact the knight is Tall As Shit™ and thus unlikely to be a, at most, young adult. combine that with the WACKY shit the knight does (you can't just open your ribs if your a living, breathing deer[nor if you're a dead one as {evident by gerson}. who knows, toby could always make it dess' corpse. thatd be evil tho]) and that makes her being the knight a bit more unlikely. carol knight truthers are dumb and need to leave, at least dess could've been at the church before we were and then opened two fountains in that same timespan. so, aside from those two, who could we possibly have? it'd probably be someone we haven't met, because Toby loves his surprises. potentially an adult due to the height, but they'd look odd in general as they'd have an exposed ribcage and armor of some variety? they'd be built very particularly with a round torso, an impossibly skinny waist, an awkward set of hips that jut out, pencil thin legs, and a pair of very pronounced shoulders. overall a very skinny build, maybe like...

they do share the aforementioned physical traits, along with being roughly the knight's height if it were translated over to deltarune equally. one major issue with this, of course, is the helmet. how would a lightner get one? none of the lightners so far have had helmets, and the closest thing to headgear anyone gets is a scarf. at max, there's noelle and ralsei's hoods that they never use. i think the most likely way papyrus knight would get the helmet is if his light world scarf became it. in the light world, none of the lightners even have hoods, but still get headgear anyways, so maybe going into the dark world with something that could be considered headgear gets altered to wrap around like a helmet? the antlers are odd too, as while other members of the holiday family do have antlers(duh), there is a caveat; when noelle descends to the dark world, her antlers remain the exact same.

now while this doesn't necessarily prove anything..

the fact the knight has such large antlers is interesting. while both carol and the knight have three pronged antlers, if this were some kind of helmet, would it not make sense for the length of the antlers to match? carol's antlers are straight, while the knights' antlers bend back, and both end in three prongs, meaning she couldn't wear it if her antlers were normal which they would be in the dark world. i think the helmet couldn't be worn by dess either, as even rudi has shorter antlers than the knight, meaning genetics do not favor her having long antlers. i think the helmet has horns because they're cool as hell and papyrus would absolutely do something like that for the aura. the cape/wings/whatever that the knight uses to fly around with (when stealing undyne, depicted below) would also definitely be a part of his fit.

all the aura farming the knight does also definitely correlates. all this with the fact that papyrus has been manipulated by the main villain before means he totally could be again. papyknight is real 1000%

I knew this was bot spam slop used to hide the intents of the accounts behind them but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I tried to be the better (actual) man, but no. Apparently that doesn't fucking matter. How vile and cold do you genuinely have to be to try and manipulate a person's basic feeling of empathy to get a quick buck off the two fuckers who fall for your scam?? It's actually annoying as shit that these messages are allowed. I understand and would absolutely support a cause like this if I knew that the money/attention would go to people, not fucking robots. just played a board game (river valley glassworks, it's pretty cool and we got it from a place with probably 10 criminals hiding in the back) and I won but my family that I was playing with kinda diminished it. they were like "well it's our first time playing it"(even though we watched a half hour video on it and read and reread the instructions multiple times throughout so recency bias shouldn't matter) and they acted like it just didnt matter. this was like the only family thing we've really done together because my eldest sister (of whom I have three) has been house sitting and we haven't been fully together in a bit and it's like I ruined it by winning(???) idk what to do. feelin a bit bummed
