Sometimes I watch the Yuri!!! On Ice Pvs and smile to myself because it feels like we were star-crossed lovers who both managed to move on happily after all of the ups and downs. Sometimes I still miss Yuri!!! On Ice, and I watch the PVs as if they were my memories of the time we spent together. We may have both moved on, but I can't help but feel the lingering feelings of longing and love, wishing for a day where we may be together again, even if for a short while.

Story- My History teacher had emailed asking where my essay was so  I thought it would be funny to take a picture of the airport and send it to her (it was 9pm on Sunday). I took the picture, yet unfortunately did not email it, so it now lives as one of the residents of my camera roll.

Mystic Messenger - a powerpoint guide

There have been loads of debates about what Yuri meant in the last scene of the episode. The phrase Yuri says is: 引退 ま で 、 僕 の こと お願い し ます ! (Intai ma de, boku no koto onegai shimasu!)

We’re all clear that “引退 ま で ” means “Before retiring/retirement”. Who’s retirement? In my opinion, Yuri is referring to his own retirement, which might be soon, or maybe in five or so years. That’s all dependant on Yuri himself. What we can tell, is that it’s a temporary thing. Not forever.

The second part causes problems, there isn’t a clear verb (こと being a normaliser). It’s probably like this because the writers wanted everyone to interpret it.

Let’s break it down.

お願いします。 This is a formal way of saying “please” (The “shimasu” is extra to make it more serious). Like there is “Thank you” and “Thank you very much” The “shimasu” is like the “very much”. (they do not have the same meaning!) From this we can tell that it’s important to Yuri, and probably has a deep meaning.

僕のこと This tells us it’s about Yuri.

Put it together, 僕 の こと お願い し ます ! And bam suddenly too many translations.

-The subs said “train/coach/teach me” -A lot of people have been saying “stay with me” -The translators I’ve tried say “do me a favour” -(One of them said “do me” lol) -Just this phrase alone could also mean “take care of me”

But if we put together what we know:

-Temporarily until retirement -Serious please (formal) -Doing something

Until retirement, please …

I would personally translate it as:

Until retirement, please take care of me.

Since this seems like the best, and is probably why Viktor says “it’s like a marriage proposal”.

What you have to understand is that Japanese to English translations can cause a lot of meanings to be lost as the words don’t mean the same things, words don’t exist etc etc. Not to mention the huge culture difference.

When Japanese people date or marry, they usually say "please take care of me", which for a native english speaker might sound odd. The phrase is used in all situations when you are starting something new with others, which isn’t a norm in other countries.

As Viktor and Yuri have met, and are close, it is entirely likely that Yuri said this, intending to take their relationship to another level. So yes, you could say he had romantic intentions. This links back to Viktor’s line afterwards, and also explains the nervousness and the tension. 

What we definitely know is that Viktor knows a lot about Japanese culture and traditions.

Mystic Messenger Phone Tutorial

Bonsoir, have you ever dreamed of having a phone like MC’s?

Of course you have! With a little magic, MC’s phone will no longer be a dream! It is kinda hard to get a replica of her phone but this tutorial will show you how to make and RFA inspired home screen!

What you’ll need:

A phone which has access to an app store

Mystic Messenger 

CocoPPA

A photo editing app (optional)

Setting up CocoPPA:

Hopefully you successfully downloaded CocoPPA, if you have, you will have an app that looks like this:

Go on the app, a load of notifications might come up, but how you deal with them is entirely your choice.

Once you’ve sorted through the notifications, you need to make an account (it might ask you to download the game, you can if you want, it's a good time killer). Make sure to confirm your account!

That's all you have to do with CocoPPA for now, next step is the background.

Background:

If you don’t feel like editing or finding your own background, you can use the one I have made (you don’t have to credit me and its watermark free!). Background

Else, I’ll give a short explanation of how I made mine, so you can make your own as well.

Find a background to edit. I used the loading screen, simply because it was easier.

Find any other resources. This is to make it unique. You could use the RFA logo like I did, but don’t let it restrict you!

Edit. It's a simple step, but a tough task. I edited the background with Paint and then added the RFA logo on top with photoshop. It’s best to use an editing program you’re used to or else it can get frustrating (especially if you’re a total beginner like me with photoshop)

Yehet, you now have a background! Next is to set it; you probably know how to do that so I won’t explain it. Let's move on to the next step, changing the apps icon.

Changing your app icons:

Before we create the new icons, decide what you want each icon to be. I’ll explain what I made each of mine so you have an idea:

Character icons- Searches character up on Google

Random- Safari (browser)

Honey Buddha Chip- Searches HBC up on Google

Hourglass- Clock app

Call- Phone app

Message- iMessage (messaging app)

Chatroom- Messaging app

Photos- Photos

Mail- Mail

Contacts- Contacts

Cheritz Shop- AppStore

Once you’ve decided, it's time to find pictures. I screenshoted the main screen and zoomed into each section for the icons, but there is no reason not to edit them.

The icons do not replace your original apps, they are shortcuts!

Now that you’ve gathered the pictures, go to CocoPPA and create the icons. This is how you do so:

Click on the square with the pencil (top right)

Choose “Icon” out of the options

Fill in the icon registration (keep icons private!)

Repeat until you have made all the icons you need

After they’re all done, you have to set them:

Locate your page

Scroll down to “posted icon” and click on it

Click on an icon

Press “Choose this icon”

Select an application or shortcut to link the icon to (If you are on an Apple you cannot link icons to pre-installed “Camera”, “Phone”, “Contacts” or “Settings”)

Choose the name for the icon and press “OK”

On Apple you will be redirected to a browser, follow the instructions it gives you there and you have your own icon! (On iOS 9 every time you use the icon, it will ask you for a confirmation)

On Android the instructions are slightly different as things are named differently, but it is the same concept. Furthermore, rather than being directed to a browser the icon is created from within the app (because Android is pretty chill)

Congratulations! Now you can organise your apps! 

Make sure not to delete the original apps or the shortcuts won’t work!
