Her immediate reaction kicks in as she rises to her feet, the table not too far from her but she finds the need to rush to it anyway. With a handful of napkins which she had snagged from her own table, she puts them to use and lays them atop the table; letting the thin material soak the contents of the spilled drink. The girls phone was also priority, her flustered behavior seeming to not have registered what Suji shouted in warning. Pushing the phone towards the safest location at the moment, she releases a soft sigh upon seeing that nothing was damaged - but then again she hadn’t glanced to the other to see the mess she created on her own lap.
“Ah! You have it all over yourself too.” Stating the obvious, she offers whatever napkins are left in her hand and peers to try and meet the gaze of the nameless girl. “It didn’t burn you did it? Ahh, luckily it was already getting cooler, you could’ve hurt yourself.” Introductions weren’t necessary or at least thats what the other person normally corrected her on, but she still went along with it, not at all concerned with a waste of her breath. “I’m Suji. Maybe they should make these things with cast iron lids. Then these things wouldn’t happen anymore, right? Heh!”
The elder’s swift response to the mess made by the younger, had helped her a lot as she would’ve likely not only ruined her dress but also her phone and whatever else was near the disastrous place. She had pushed herself back to stand a few feet away from the table to prevent the hot liquids from dripping onto her even more. Her fingers wrapped around the fabric off the dress to peel it off of her body so she wouldn’t feel entirely sticky. Though rather than the situation at hand-- that being the mess she made-- she was more baffled by the celebrity who stood right in front of her, much like any normal person would, not even so much someone with a popularity like hers,
‘Ah, I’m fine--’ she was able to speak out, now finally registering what had just happened and she chuckled softly, dropping her hands next to her body. ‘Right, this hasn’t been the first time something like this happened to me.’ she admitted, a little embarrassed but just trying to make some small talk to keep the conversation from going awkward. ‘Ah thank you though, I didn’t even really notice.. I’m Aemi.’ She quickly said in return, she would’ve pointed out she was very aware who the other was but she didn’t want to make it seem like she had been a total stalker the entire time. ‘I should get some more napkins..’

It depends if you are a believer or not. And yes I have seen some things that cannot be explained and I’ve heard some things aswell.” He added with a soft smile on his face, not wanting to creep the female out all too much since he knew talking about this type of subject is very sensetive to some human beings. Some refuse to believe in it and if they hear it, some people would even go insane. But that wasn’t the case for david. his case was the fact that it interested him. that somehow there was a life after death after all, knowing even if you pass on, you’ll still be living in another world. His beliefs was very different from his friends and family. Some people didnt respect it but his family had learned how to do so with the years to come in his early teens when he began to work with it full time.
She was quite interested in the subject of life after death, ghosts and even aliens. The unknown really interested her because there was no actual proof it existing, though some claimed to have captured some of it on camera, with photoshop and various ways of manipulating images, she couldn’t believe it until she saw it with her own eyes. But it was fun, listening to people explain their personal encounters with ghosts, as they thoroughly believed it, it made her want to believe it as well but then later on she’d always end up changing her mind. She’d never experienced anything supernatural, it was all just something she liked to watch on tv but never believed in. ‘What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever seen then?’ she asked, quite funny how whenever people thought of ghosts, they would think of them doing bad things, to scare humans. But in her opinion, would they have really existed, they wouldn’t have all been bad right?

Was it arrogant of her to ask for a photo right on the spot? She’d seen and heard of plenty of stars that used the offer just to get a fan satisfied and out of their hair quickly, and Harlowe didn’t want to come off that way. Her usual flat tone of speaking meant that she had to be more cautious of how she spoke, fearing that one day a fan might write her off as being rude and dismissive when truthfully she’s just awkward once approached and trying to not draw much attention to herself. Her worries began to fade once Aemi accepted her photo offer (and happily, at that), and she huddled in towards the girl once she pulled out her phone. “No, I don’t mind! Seriously,” she insisted, expression quickly warming up as she smiled at the camera and formed her fingers into a peace sign to pose. “Do you listen to a lot of idol groups, or no?”
Truthfully, the offer was exactly what made her feel more at ease as she had been a little too shy to ask herself. Once the female moved in closer and both were properly in the picture, she took a shot or two just to make sure neither of them would actually have their eyes closed. Once having done so, she took a step back to get out of the female’s personal space and put her phone back in her pocket. ‘There’s only very few I know to be honest, there’s so many groups it’s so hard to keep track of them all so I only know a little about the groups that have really nice songs.’ She explained, a sheepish chuckle following. ‘It’s fun to watch them perform though, every group is so talented with dancing and singing and even acting!’

She was standing inside the elevator, going down to leave to her schedules and just when she was about to press the button to close the door someone slips in, giving the other a small smile and a bow she then presses the button again, standing in silence she side eyes at the other at times, until suddenly the lights flickered and the elevator stop, her eyes widening and she can’t help but just attack all the buttons there is. “No no no no, don’t stop now.. work.. please.” she kept pushing some buttons there but nothing, taking a step back she leans against the wall there, sliding down it. “this is hopeless..”
As of lately she had been trying hard to get over her fear of small spaces, she had been closing doors behind her and had tried entering spaces she usually found too small. Since her accident, she had feared being stuck in positions or places she couldn’t escape. But she’d done well, started to get somewhere, she was winning from her fears. This at least until she had decided to take the elevator, it was an one time thing but she assumed it would be just fine. Of course, luck wasn’t on her side as the elevator seemed to jam. Her heart had immediately began racing, though she would’ve been more calm had the other not repeatedly said ‘no’. Immediately fear rushed over her. ‘W-we.. it’s stuck?’ she asked, moving over to press all the buttons despite the other having done the same. ‘No no no, we gotta get out of here--’

He had been bored the entire day, his phone barely vibrating as it rested on his bedside table; it wasn’t until the afternoon that the vibrations actually started annoying him when he realised they didn’t seem to be stopping any time soon. He had been curled in bed, supporting a horrible migraine as he read the text messages, eyes squinting at the words as he tried to make sense of the story. Colin didn’t usually get messages, especially not in such a rushed state; he was curious and with one press of a button he called the other number. “Hello, It’s me Colin, could you please just let me know what website and i’ll have your password sent to you via email, as soon as I hack into it.” He told her, tongue brushing over his lower lip as he moved to grab his netbook from the floor. It would do, it wasn’t going to take longer than fifteen minutes probably; he was sure about it.
She had expected a mere message in return, possibly a rejection as despite not knowing the male she had pleaded for his help, not giving any sort of proper information about herself and whether she would give him something in return for the deed. She however picked up immediately, quite happy to hear his willingness. ‘Ah, thank you so much, you’re a life safer.’ She responded right away, making sure to give him the proper URL and username she used, explaining that for some reason she was unable to change her password or log in despite using the right information-- she was sure about it. Little did she know she had already changed the password few days before her call but had simply completely forgotten about it and had become stressed over something she herself did.

— && ; mao was silent for a little moment. being friends with aemi meant to stop feeling pity for this strong girl as much as worry about her. however, mao was still not used to the younger girl’s prostheses. reiko, herself, knew how hard it was to have something that was following you for quite a long time, maybe that stayed with you for the whole life. her illness was not to the view like aemi’s but constant heartaches, attacks, gasping, cramps - she overcame it all, but still sometime those things were reminding mao, that she was not fully healthy still. getting back to the reality, mao lightly shook her head, hiding the action behind fixing her curly hair. “ i was thinking about one rule - that you don’t give up. that seem to be like a cool award. it won’t be awkward because seokhwan-oppa is a professional photographer, he knows how to stand, pose, where to look and stuff like that.. you’ll like that! what style would you want to try? “
She had grown so used to the detachable legs, that it wasn’t much of a bother to her. Occasional inconveniences came with them but she didn’t mind, she was happy to be alive, had it not been for these she wouldn’t have been able to walk at all so rather than feeling pity for herself or feeling bad and refusing to do anything, she decided to not take the situation lightly and be happy with the opportunity given to her. Of course, she wished to be like anyone, having legs made of flesh and blood but she simply couldn’t be just that. She’d cursed herself and the legs many times during the rehabilitation process however the more she spend her time thinking about her situation and all that she’d lost, the more she started to realize she wasn’t all that unfortunate, in fact, she was doing quite well and was very lucky, she found herself more happy with a thought process like that and decided to stick with it rather than being negative.
Every girl would want to feel and look pretty at one point, she was one of them. The thought of being photographed professionally definitely made her a little shy and awkward, but she also saw the many friends she had on instagram who would get proper pictures taken of themselves rather than the selfies everyone took. She always envied it and being given the opportunity to finally, it made her really excited. ‘Something.. my dad would like, something pretty and something that he would want to hang on his walls?’ she suggested, finding that one of the better options.

It wasn’t an abnormal situation at all - constantly causing heads to turn with the entrance at a low key sort of cafe. She had become an expert by now - knowing the time of day to venture out to certain places, or the shops that generally consisted of dim lighting and no one bother to turn a head to see whom had walked in with a mask covering their face. This time though she walked in casually, nodding her head in greeting at the fans that rose to their feet eagerly awaiting to see their favorite idol up close. “You’re even more beautiful in real life than I ever imagined!” That was a common comment that resulted with a bright smile and a nod to her head. Pictures were questionable though and she pleaded with a raise of her hands to limit them.
Once the clutter of people dwindled to them watching from their seats, the idol proceeded with her ordered latte and snuck to the furthest corner, trying to block out the pairs of eyes that watched her with an ecstatic nature. Glancing up, her gaze caught sight of a shy brown pair; watching patiently as her fingers twiddled in sheer awe. It wasn’t like her to ignore the other, so instead she flashes a soft smile; simple yet radiant. The girls stare and lack of focus to the drink in front of her didn’t even seem to realize that as she poured the milk into her hot drink that she was over filling it and causing it’s contents to spill all across the table. Noticing it immediately, Suji’s eyes widened and she tried to gesture to the other to take mention of the mess she was creating below. “Oh…careful!” She finally spoke up and pointed to the now messy table. “Move your phone, don’t let it get wet!”
It was an exciting moment, throughout her 19 years of living she had met a few idols of which some she had been excited about and some she hadn’t recognized until later. The female in front of her was someone she had seen all over Korea, someone who was often seen during commercials or advertisements. After all, she was known to be nation’s little sister and IT girl. She’d always envied the female’s beauty, though she didn’t know much of the female. The whispers going around and the statements made truly weren’t a lie, the female was just as pretty if not prettier in real life despite wearing only a very thin layer or no makeup at all-- she truly couldn’t tell.
She hadn’t been aware of her obvious staring up until the female made eye contact with her, making her flutter in shyness a little. Though the smile displayed on the other’s face seemed to turn into a look of worry and perhaps even stress. Aemi immediately turned to face what the female had been signing towards only to realize the complete mess she had been making. She immediately shot up right, only resulting into more of a mess as she spilled half of the contents of her drink over herself. ‘Ah--’ she’d let out in surprise, a huff of air passing her lips. She truly was great at making a fool of herself, in general but now even in front of someone she felt a little shy around. Her gaze wandered around shortly after, hoping to find a worker that could help with a few paper sheets to clean the mess up.

“It’s nice to meet you, Aemi. Ah– would you like something signed, or a picture?” Three years into her career, yet Harlowe still wasn’t at her top game when it came to interacting with fans. A response on Spiced’s fansite here and there was never hard, and neither were the official fanmeetings that the group held during comebacks, but one on one meetings when she was just going about her day? It was never an unwanted interaction, but she never knew the right way to go about it, which could be said for any of the conversations that she held during her day. “The last few weeks have definitely been interesting, yeah… Hopefully you’ve heard good things about me?”
Truthfully, she wasn’t sure what she wanted, she had been overjoyed to meet someone to whom’s music she listened to, to even think of asking for a picture or a signature. Though now that the female had mentioned it, it would’ve been exciting to have one with her and so she immediately gave the female an excited nod in response. ‘Yeah, definitely!’ she agreed and searched her pocket to retrieve the said device. She opened the camera app before she moved over to the other’s side. ‘You really don’t mind right?’ she asked, lips curled in a smile nonetheless. ‘I see a lot of idols walking around here but never really someone I talk to.’ she said before reaching to pose on for the picture.

any other fcs you could see aemi as?
What a fun question, definitely could. I’ve had a few other options I could picture her as. Since she’s based off of a game character, the game katawa shoujo (which I always end up promoting since it’s a really fun visual novel game that’s also free! Download it here!) I had kind of a visual of what I wanted her to look like, kind of like the character Emi. I imagined her somewhat petite, athletic figure with light colored hair and cute / innocent-like features. Someone who could pass off a really bubbly and happy persona. Of course I ended up choosing Luda as I feel she really fits the feeling of Emi!
Aside from Luda, I had a few face claims in mind, such as: Lee Hyeri, Park Choa, Kang Hyeyeon, Kim Taeyeon, Lee Jihyun, Son Naeun. I feel either of these idols give off a cute and bright vibe. All suit the images I have in mind of Emi and what she’s like in the game. Somewhat small, slender and blonde or light colored hair. Eventually why I ended up picking Luda is because she suits the most, I ended up tweaking the character to my own preference and Luda gives off the Aemi Vibe most!

For once, Harlowe’s extensive (and often unnecessary) vocabulary was failing her as she struggled to find a word that could truly describe the amount of nervous excitement and pride that she was feeling at the moment. As much as she loved and appreciated her role in Spiced, there was something about being complimented on her solo endeavors that felt even better. “Ah! Did you really? Thank you so much, thank you.” One of her rare grins started to appear, and though it was instinct for her to move to cover her mouth, she instead reached out to the person in front of her in an attempt to be welcoming. “Please, don’t be nervous! I’m not scary or anything, promise… What’s your name?”
‘Aemi!’ She introduced herself right away, a bright smile forming along her features. Truly excited to meet the person whose song had been atop of her repeat list for a little while now. As of lately, more and more idols stepped into the scene and it became hard for anyone to remember them all, especially for someone like Aemi who barely focused on korean idols at all-- though she found it interesting whenever performances would be sent out. Meeting an idol overall, would’ve been exciting but not as much as meeting one she actually knew and whose music she actually listened to. ‘I’ve seen you in the news a lot more lately, I’m always a little curious to read up about you to be honest.’ She admitted to the elder.

Well, yes – everyone had nipples. That was just a fact of human anatomy and while Jaxon hadn’t been the smartest in high-school, his grades always lacking due to his constant skipping and sleeping, he knew at least this much. Admittedly, he hasn’t exactly seen that many people fully bare, as much as he’d like to brag and say he’s fucked around many times– the true amount of times he has fucked around would probably equate to s e v e n partners and seven alone; ah, but seven was a nice number was it not? He could think his more drunken nights, those where he’d given into the temptation of alcoholic consumption during high-school parties despite his overwhelming distaste for the poison. There were no regrets, really, it’d all been fun times, those spent getting rid of heated frustrations and sometimes just plain lust that seemed to overwhelm one’s senses.
Still, watching screen of movie that rolled on, he can’t help but grimace – the D-list horror movie had suddenly turned into a soft porn. While he wasn’t shy about his likes for lewd films, hell, he’d even watched a few with his best friend once or twice – Jaxon feels a bit, uncomfortable. It was overdrawn, an obvious seeking of attention made in order to draw in viewers that had come for sex scene and nothing else – obviously the plot was shit, but the dancer did enjoy shitty plots and even shittier acting. What can he say, it was amusing to see the story unfold.
“Yeah – but it’s so obvious her tits are fake… surgeon did a bad job with the nipples too… one looks bigger than the other.” he murmurs, taking a large sip of his drink, glasses he didn’t really need to adorn for nothing more than fashion purposes hanging low along bridge of his nose as he grimaces at the actresses even faker orgasm as killer ‘eerily’ approached in background to finish off the couple coincidentally after they’d had their little tryst in cabin; really, it was starting to get hard to watch. He glances to side, briefly, brow furrowing as his stare lingers along females visage, “Don’t tell me you are actually getting into this… I swear, I’d much rather watch 50 shades than this – jesus…”
Despite her overal lack of romantic relationships, she knew quite a lot about the human body. Due to majoring in physical education, she’d learn a lot about the ways a human body could move and would perform during certain types of situations. To her, the anatomy of a human was nothing more than natural. She felt no shame in talking about any sorts of body parts, whether from your usual limbs to your more intimate parts. With her overal lack of lower legs, and all the information she’d received regarding those body parts, she had started to become a whole more casual with anything related to the body in general. Many hours spent in the hospital and rehabilitation centre, it made her pretty desensitized. So a countless movies including sexual scenes yet not even once she had felt bothered or shy because of it, she saw it as the human’s nature.
She herself wasn’t all too impressed by the plot either, though the two had assumed the movie would be a little better upon picking it, it was interesting enough to keep watching. Even after the many minutes of a bad plot line and horrible acting. Now that they’d started it, they wanted to finish and see what horribly cliché ending had been created for the said movie. She wasn’t particularly fond of horror or sexually based movies, though she wasn’t what one would call a scaredy-cat either. She was pretty neutral about it all. Nonetheless, neither were impressed it seemed.
‘Mhm, her nipples are a little lopsided, and it does seem a little unnatural, but hey, who am I to complain as I barely have any boobs at all.’ She joked though she never removed her gaze from the screen. ‘I mean, I think it’s a pretty good movie aside from the lopsided boobies.. the acting is pretty good, the plot is not at all predictable and the over excessive amounts of sex in this, I feel it really supports the story of the movie.’ She spoke with a clear sarcastic tone. As much as she thought the movie was horrible, watching it with the eye of a clearly educated movie critic, it was pretty amusing to spot all the horrible parts. ‘10/10 would watch again.’

“Now see, there’s the positivity and attitude I was hoping for!” She smiled and lightly bumped her coffee cup against the other. She took a quick sip and set it down. “I realize I didn’t get to ask you before hand what skill level you were at. So I decided to just bring every little English book I could find.” She chuckled shyly, starting to unpack her bag. She suddenly felt a little nervous as she realized the other might be insulted with the children’s books, or that she’d laugh at the stickers but she still placed them out before them.
The smile on the female’s face appeared to be contagious, as naturally her features mimicked her’s and she showed a smile. ‘I mean, let’s just start at the very very beginning because I haven’t really gotten any further than that.’ She truly was horrible, English never spoke to her and for some reason her mind couldn’t get used to it even when the entire world seemed to revolve around the said language. Rather than laughing or feeling insulted, she was quite glad the other didn’t seem to make fun of her for her low skill level regarding the subject, she preferred to start from children’s level just to make sure she understood it all.

The worry on his face, soon fades as he hears her words, of course to her it was okay– like he experienced telling others, but if he pondered too much on her respond, was she telling the truth?“ A faint, sigh escapes his lips as he runs his fingertips. "If you say so– I’ll still take you to the clinic okay? Hop on my back– let’s go to the school’s clinic to fix up your wound.” He frowns, “I want you to be careful next time okay? I know you’re capable of running fast– but ah, Emi… please be more careful.” He rubs her cheeks, while he sat close to her for awhile. “Hmm, let’s just go to the clinic to check your scratches and I’ll treat you to some restaurant and we can eat lunch together– before I’ll be going to my schedules– you know how busy, oppa gets in the afternoon.” The thought of leaving the female, quite made him worry. But he knew how strong she is, therefore he worries a bit less.
Her eyebrows furrowed, in her opinion it wasn’t anything worthy a visit to the nurse’s office. A few simple scratches, nothing too bad. She was perfectly capable of using her own to “artificial legs” to walk. ‘It’s fine, I’ll just need to clean this up and put a few bandaids over them and it’ll be a-okay.’ She reassured the male. She appreciated the male’s care and worry for her, knowing it was meant to be well, it came out of a good place, but it irked her. Had she had her own legs, made of flesh and bones, she wouldn’t have been treated like she was porcelain. He would’ve offered to go with her to clean the scratches and that’s likely where it would’ve ended. ‘I’ll just clean it in one of the changing rooms, they have showers there, I can get some water and a towel it should be totally fine.’ She reassured the male once more, hoping he’d let it go.

ahyeon willingly handed the items over one by one, deciding to explain how the younger girl should put them on as she gave them over. the brunette gave the girl her fishnet tights, black skirt and black belt before the - very obviously too large and equally as black - shirt adorned with some rock band’s logo, deciding to speak up at that point. “tuck this shirt into the skirt and put the belt on, but make sure you pull the shirt up a bit so it becomes baggy around the waist, if you get what i mean. i find the contrast between a tight skirt and baggy shirt to be quite nice.” finally, ahyeon handed over the maroon coloured beret. “i know this is all quite dark, but it’s still comfortable and stylish while still retaining some comfort. i thought this sort of style would be a better match for you than some overly sparkly and very short dress, don’t you think?”
Despite her cute and petite appearance, she preferred to stay away from the overly girly dressed and with her unfortunate lack of lowerlegs, she preferred to stay away from things too revealing even when she’d made peace with the lack of limbs. She’d grown quite confident, but comfort-ability over all. Taking in all her guidelines, she had then stepped into the dressing room. It took her a few minutes to get used to the new type of clothing, trying to figure out how to make it look pretty. After she’d figured she had done well, though it was definitely lacking the touch of a stylist, she stepped out of the small room. ‘Like this?’ she asked, though she actually quite liked the outfit, her entire body language showed nothing but awkwardness, it was something she would have to get used to wearing and how to wear it with flair.
