I love asking friends, without context, "what are you really into this week?" I'll go first. this week I'm really into mouthwash and sudoku. Last week I was into peaches.
#playing my rotational gameplay sims 4 save file :)#now that all the kids are born i also started planning ahead in terms of who will end up with who#and there are some very exciting matches#my favourite two so far are the lesbian throuple and the secret agent/criminal couple who will be hiding their careers from each other

Ureshi

ureshi is a redemption!durge. she used to be a cleric of bhaal before losing her memories. during act i, she feels a connection to selûne and becomes dedicated to honouring the moon goddess, who lends ureshi powers and eventually fully recognises her as a selûnite cleric after she saves aylin and steers her lover shadowheart away from shar. managing to resist her urges through prayer, ureshi eventually bravely rejects bhaal and severs the connection with her "father" after defeating orin in combat.
Theobald (Theo) Glenmeadow (-> Ravenguard)

when theo was a child, he was attacked by a bear as he attempted to play with its cubs. the encounter left him with a nasty scar across his face and - to everyone's surprise - a desire to befriend animals. as he grew up, he became a ranger, having indeed befriended many animals and being able to call them for aid in battle. despite his love for nature and adventure, he does eventually settle down with his husband duke wyll ravengard, their daughter, and almost a dozen pets in baldur's gate after the defeat of the netherbrain.
BG3 Art Requests: OPEN!
I'd like to give some love and attention to those Tavs & Durges I don't see in fandom often, so I open requests!
If your character is one of those races:
halfling
dwarf
gnome
half-orc
dragonborn*
reblog this post with screenshots/ref, name and a few words about them attached
I will do several sketchy portraits during next few months!
(* low chances because they look like a challenge for me but I can give a try)

some hyper famous artists like Van Gogh transcend overratedness and become underrated because they're so normalized. Like I'll look at a van Gogh and I'm like wait this really is amazing you guys don't get it
#thankfully i mostly still see appreciation and awe for him#i have a note on my notes app where i write down every time i see a van gogh painting in the wild#(someone having a print out hung up in their apartment or using it as a profile picture or whatnot)#and he is really kind of everywhere in a way that warms my heart 🥺#vincent van gogh

calling nonbinary people naive (or worse) for "telling the government we're transgender" by getting an x gender marker is a weird way to avoid acknowledging that nonbinary people are uniquely vulnerable and marginalised.
#listen i am all for an EVENTUAL 'no gender marker' future#i am literally a sex abolitionist that just shouldn't be a thing#BUT what the fuck do you suggest non-binary people do RIGHT NOW#choose one? ok so you're just transphobic then if that's what you are suggesting#the whole point is that they are neither#trans tag

anyway yeah stop talking about men like they're fucking orcs from lord of the rings acting like men and women are separate species and one is eeevil is not only stupid as fuck but also deeply anti-feminist. not to mention it lets misogynists off the hook really, to imply that misogyny is an implicit part of "being a man"
ik I mostly talk abt this kinda stuff as it pertains to trans folks because I'm a trans woman and also according to several Tumblr users with pictures of small woodland creatures as their pfps a "pick me" (if loving trans men makes me a pick me sobeit ig) but I just saw a like nightmare gauntlet of "ahaha! I guess men really ARE from Mars and women really ARE from Venus but lets reframe this as a feminist statement!" posts that weren't yk specifically abt transness and I flew into a shitgirl rage

we talk about how surreal it is to befriend really good creatives on here but what’s really surreal is when those really good creatives also have, like, debilitating social anxiety and impostor syndrome. leonardo da vinci is on my dashboard calling the mona lisa cringe
#yeah 110% hfksjgkdklfkdkf#van gogh would post shit like 'on my fifth sunflowers painting... still hate it. gonna go walk barefoot for an hour to feel alive again'

Trans men aren't rewarded for being men — we are raped and murdered for being men.
If you can't acknowledge that you're ignorant at best and maliciously transphobic at worst.
