I made this illustration for the Character Design Challenge on Facebook. 

The theme in November 2018 was “backpacker” and I illustrated a character carrying a backpack full of demons representing emotions like fear, selfdoubt, insecurity and anxiety. Feelings we all sometimes have when we have to take a new path in our life or when things around us change.

Something different this week. I really enjoy knitting and as soon as autum season starts I get my knitting needles out and make scarfes and beanies from the most colorful wool I can find in stores.

If you ask me there is nothing more relaxing than sitting in an armchair in the evening, drinking tea and listening to good music while knitting a cosy scarf that keeps you warm in winter.

Maybe I should continue my small sketchbook diary. I stopped at 12 drawings in total but hey, inktober is right around the corner, right?

3D tube letters, done in Adobe Illustrator.

I am working a lot with Illustrator recently to learn more about vector graphics and vector animation. For now I´m doing small projects like this one, to get used to the programm and it´s tools.

I found a really cool notebook at my favorite store, Flying Tiger. It got rainbow colored pages and I´m going to use it as a sketchbook diary, drawing a small illustration every day. I will post my drawings on this blog, stay tuned.

Sketch of an ‘old school tattoo style’ rose. I am going to add lines and color next, to practice coloring with watercolor and the brush pens I bought recently.
