On a diet.
I'm at the end of week 5 of dieting. It's a very strict diet, that I am doing in phases. Phase one will take me from 255 to 230. Phase two will take me from 230 to 210, Phase three will be permanent with the goal being to get down to 180.
Rule 1: No Grains, No Potatoes, No Sugar. This is also called No GPS. The point of this rule is to control my diabetes. This part is not about weight loss. This rule never changes.
Rule 2: This has the phases. One is 1k calories a day. Two is 1.5k calories a day. 3 is 2k calories a day.
Rule 3: Weekend Calorie are unlimited for "Refeed days"
Has it been working? Have I stuck to it? Yes, and mostly. I've lost ~20lbs. I've very rarely slipped and had a fuck it moment of cravings. It was never sugar, it was pretty much always bread.
My typical day is have an egg fried in butter. Midday I have a 1oz meat stick that is <1g of carbs. The I have a roughly 800 calorie dinner. Whole chicken breast, blackened seasoning maybe sauteed zucchini.
I also take a lot of supplements, vitamins, electrolytes, etc.
