ive watched so so so so many adam curtis documentaries and most of them are excellent background noise but even when ive watched them intently trying to understand what hes putting on screen... ive hardly ever grasped anything particularly special or interesting about them. like they really feel a lot like the very old school semi documentaries 50 year old schizophrenics would post on youtube (about ufos and the banks and such) before that stuff got shadowbanned and impossible to find. very stream of consciousness stuff but his consciousness is like...kind of run of the mill anti capitalism libertarian kinda deal. its not bad i guess i still do watch them after all but im not sure they have anything going for them other than the style. which is pretty cool. they definitely are the sort of film that makes you feel cool by watching them but really the content is kind of...its a collage i guess but its not a very compelling one. hes great at titles though.

leaving aside how this town and its inhabitants need to be [redacted], its kind of interesting that the immigration deal is a weird redistribution of government money into some of the least productive, most backwards and stupid communities in the usa. theyre really grabbing random construction workers off home depot parking lots and people working in farms in LA, putting them in these facilities in the middle of nowhere and then paying equally uneducated guards and store clerks completely unjustified wages to literally mind their business while they watch formerly productive people rot and disappear

I guess also to be fair we also may as well have licked Messi's feet when we played Argentina so it's not like we're always that spiritually strong against the enemy. that was for real gay. like you can't be doing that before the match come on our team is bad it's garbage but have some pride. that was just embarrassing.

the way reps of native tribes are welcoming various fútbol clubs into Seattle with pretty meaningful gifts etc is nice but I'm a bigger fan of our uhh natives ?? really odd to call them that they're just andean but like whatever. well we got shamans to put a curse on Neymar in public and it was awesome
