Winter sore throat “tea”- In a jar combine lemon slices, organic honey and sliced ginger. Close jar and put it in the fridge, it will form into a “jelly”. To serve- spoon jelly into mug and pour boiling water over it. Store in fridge 2-3 months.

an author i love just tweeted about how “big joy and small joy are the same” and how she was just as content the other night eating chocolate and cuddling her dog as she was on her Big Trip to new york and honestly. i think that’s it. this morning i was listening to an audiobook while baking shortbread in my joggers and i realised i really didn’t care what Big Things happened in my future as long as i could keep baking and reading at the weekend and maybe that is the kind of bar we have to set to guard ourselves against disappointment. just appreciate and cherish the mundane stuff and see everything else as a bonus.

So there's 168 hours in a week
On average a person should get 8 hrs of rest a night, and so subtracting the 56 hours for sleep, that's 112 hrs per week.
Most colleges go by the rule that you should study 2-3 hours for each hour you're in class. I only have 2 classes where I actually have a live lecture so I'll go by 2.75 hrs for my 16 credit hours. Coming out to a total of 44 hrs of study. Leaving me at 68 hrs.
Not including class periods that are an hour and 15 minutes long, or 1.25 hours. These are 4 days a week and come to a total of 5 hrs a week.
63 hours left or 9 hours a day so far, HOWEVER
I have a part time job that can put me from 24-32 hours even though 30 and over is full time.
Leaving me at 39 to 31 hrs. Making 5.57 to 4.42 of free time a day
Travel time is not included, this is around an hour and 40 mins (1.6 repeating) for each day of work 4-5 days makes it 32.36 at max a day and 24.36 min.
Up to 4.62 hrs (4 hrs 37 min) max a day and 3.51 hrs (3 hrs 31 min) per day.
This does not include: Eating, bathing, bathroom breaks, cleaning, appointments, shopping, or any other sort of chores. This does not include added rest needed for my disabilities.
All I had here were my responsibilities as a full time student, my part time job, and my average commute and sleep time.
Do not feel bad if you can't handle what's expected of you. What's expected can be the impossible. Do your best, take care of yourself.

What do you need to be your best?
What are your Hierarchy of Needs?⁣
Make sure to tag me in your responses - I’d love to see what makes up your pyramid to wellness!⁣
The original hierarchy of needs dealt with the universal human experience - what all humans need to be able to grow. Once your baser needs were met, you could progress up the pyramid to the next rung to achieve your “full potential.”⁣
But for those with chronic illnesses, our needs can be very different and are by no means universal.⁣
So if the top of the pyramid is you at your best (for me, my best is a functional human who can stand up), what are the steps that help you get there!⁣
For me, the base is always Sodium. Wherever. Whenever. I don’t succeed without my sodium!⁣
Then it’s Understanding. I need the people around me to understand what I’m going through. They don’t need to help, or get in the way. I just need that shorthand with them so I can take care of my needs in that moment. ⁣
That’s followed by Somewhere to sit! This is vital. I just need a place where I can sit or lean. I may not use it - I just need to know it’s there for my anxiety. ⁣
Once I’ve got those, it’s onto Compression Socks! Self explanatory!⁣
And finally, once all those pieces fit into place, I can start moving and start moving forward with my wellness by Exercising! ⁣
It’s very difficult to get to Exercising if those other needs aren’t met. I need that base to achieve some time to sweat some spoons out.⁣
