I have now secured a physical copy of every official translation of the Four Swords manga that I am aware of. The following languages will be available from me as scans sometime in the future: French, Spanish (Norma Editorial, Panini, and Ivrea), Portuguese, German, and Italian.
I will make a post as each language becomes available. If you are aware of any other official translations besides those listed here and the English translation, please reach out to me via ask or message so that I can archive everything. Thank you!
(As a reminder, the Viz Media English translation has already been scanned by someone else. I have also scanned the original Japanese version. Please contact me if you need access to either of these scans. Lastly, this project has been extremely costly for me; if you would like to help me recuperate the cost, please message me.)

Remember when Red jumped out a window
In chapter three? Yes! Link loves to do that, huh? He jumped out of a window in chapter one, too.

Why don’t you like Vidow? /genq
I dislike how 99.9% of the fanbase portrays the relationship between Vio and Shadow, not the relationship itself.

I wonder if part of the reason they put Tsubasa on the Hirogaru Sky team is because they were trying to do a reversal of the shounen battle anime trope where there is a single girl on the main team whose function is to be "The Girl" (similar to how Ageha always calls him "Boy" even when he says not to).

The greatest Four Swords manga mystery of all time: What is Link's father's first name?

You thought I was using the purple heart emoji to honor bootboys? No… It's because I love Violet "Vio" Link. 💜

The implication that Shadow took two of the three throw pillows/picked the side with more throw pillows because he's a selfish asshole who wants more embellishment around him is so funny to me. Never mind the fact that it's a nod to how he does not see Vio as an equal and does not truly value him. It's just funny. I hate him. I hope he chokes.
#four swords#shadow link#vio#four swords manga#this is the shit Charlie cares about when she's writing for this godforsaken work#who gives a shit about anything clever when you can focus on insignificant details instead#oh my fucking god the pillar in the middle is also a nod to how they're not truly close either#killing myself don't worry about it I don't notice this shit until over ten years later#it's fine#someone take my fucking degree away from me how the hell did I not notice that plus the shape of the chairs themselves and how they meet

Can you believe Hibiki Houjou is a lesbian and Kanade Minamino is bisexual? Love is so awesome.

It is genuinely surprising that no one gives a shit about Green and Vio as a duo considering the fact that they canonically had a fight to the death and get paired together in many other circumstances (Vio asking Green if he's losing confidence in himself at the start of their journey, Vio pretending that Green is with him in the Temple of Darkness, the Big Poe's lie about killing them together, Vio being cautious about Green's plan to destroy their father at the Tower of Winds, Green following the fake Vio at the Palace of Winds).
#and if I may be so bold I want to add how Vio called out for Green when he was in trouble in the Lost Woods#four swords#four swords manga#green link#Vio

I wonder, in a post-manga AU, at what point the default state of Link became being split in four rather than being whole. I wonder if Link stays split because he's running away from having to wrestle with four different sets of memories and the emotions tied to those memories. I wonder if people call Link "boring" when he's whole and how that affects him. Does he hate himself? Does he hate himselves?

RIP to Manatsu Natsuumi and Uta Sakura. You would have been the best of friends and also an unstoppable force of nature.

Vio thinks that his entire purpose is to be a tool for others to use, and he is grateful for it. Shadow thinks that his entire purpose is to be a tool for others to use, and he resents it greatly. Of course they're going to hate each other and tear each other apart.

Link says, "I love you." And Shadow just shakes his head and replies, "If this is your love, then I don't want it."

As much as Green tries to stay positive and lively when talking to Shadow, I wonder if they get along best when Green lets his guard down and just talks about his negative emotions without any filter (because that's when Shadow feels that Green is at his most genuine). I love the idea that Green just starts venting around him, and he apologizes when he realizes what he's done, but Shadow tells him not to apologize. And they have this moment where they see each other, and Green is shocked, and Shadow is reservedly curious. It's something about Shadow enjoying when Link is miserable, but also realizing that Green is a real person who trusts him despite everything.

Yes, he does feel empty afterward. By the way.
Anyway I firmly believe that if Shadow were trying to kill Link, he wouldn't use magic or his sword to deliver the final blow. He would strangle him just to see the look on his face and to feel when he stops moving. Nothing else would be good enough.
