Z Nation Season 4 Premiere - Tweet Storm!

Attention all Z Whackers:

SYFY is doing the fans of Z Nation a HUGE disservice by not promoting the upcoming season 4 premiere on Sept 29. All shows live and die based on their ratings, and how well the series does when it premieres can set the bar for the rest of the season.

Don’t let Z Nation suffer the fate of recently canceled SYFY series Dark Matter and Blood Drive! We need to feed our beloved Zs with as many new and returning viewers as we can to keep the show going.

What many folks don’t realize is that the Nielsen ratings that networks use to determine whether or not to renew a show now includes both viewing totals and Twitter traffic. Studies have shown there is a very strong correlation between social media engagement and viewing behavior, so getting a show to trend on Twitter helps boost the Nielsen ratings, which in turn increases a show’s chances for renewal.

Here is what you can do to help Z Nation:

1) If you have not already, create a Twitter account.

2) Starting this Friday, September 15 at 8 PM EST, tweet your excitement about Z Nation and make sure to use the hashtag #ZNation. Demand a new trailer!

3) Every Friday until the last episode of the season, plan to tweet at least five times while the new episode airs in your time zone. Tweet even more during the rest of the week, but the important time is the hour before, during and after the airing!

I will post a Z Tweets reminder on Fridays to get fans out there supporting the show.

4) Boost the signal: share this plan with your Z Nation loving pals.
