new lore dropped: so-called st. Estela was one of the prisoners living in what's now called estelian caves (prev. safir caves) after being banished from the Port Paloma and has led prison riots gaining followers some of which recognised her charisma and others genuinely believed her to be akin to messiah (something she used to her advantage) and the banishment of now authorities and establishment of a relatively independent and successful city state in the estelian caves did not do much to demystify her persona especially after her death. Port Paloma could not just cut all ties with the only source of rare minerals and organic material including endemic plants and mushrooms so they had to make peace with Estelia city state and trade resources with them. plus they have well developed science and helped palomians establish the first and only space station in the entirety of Castanheria and people even move there voluntarily to make money so they're not doing bad at all all things considered. the discovery of zombification has turned profitable as well since some people are so desperate to keep themselves and family alive no matter the cost they agree to such a gross procedure
