When Tim comes out to the family about having a boyfriend Damian’s first reaction is a look of PURE disgust and horror. This automatically leads to everyone assuming Damian is homophobic.

They all feel awkward and don’t know how to act around him for a while after this until everything comes to a head during a family dinner.

Damian walks in with the most dirty scowl on his face and Dick being the mother hen he is asks what’s wrong, only for Damian to tell everyone that he just found out Jon got a boyfriend and that’s why he’s so upset.

...DEAD SILENCE. Everyone stops what they’re doing to look at Damian. Bruce takes a deep breath and puts on his “I’m about to attempt emotions” face.

He starts going on to Damian about how homophobia is bad and no matter what kind of principles he learned in the league that kind of hate wouldn’t be tolerated, until Damian with the most confused flabbergasted face stops him by going “you think I’m homophobic??”

Everyone stops for a moment and are like “well yeah every time Tim brings up his boyfriend you walk away, and you just got upset about Jon an-“ Damian cuts them all off right there by saying that NO he’s not homophobic it’s just the thought of Tim pursuing any kind of romance is such a disgusting thought to him he can’t help but scoff and he didn’t like that Jon had a boyfriend because it meant less patrol time with him.

They all kind of just sit there awkwardly apologizing and they never speak of it again, but Damian LOVES bringing it up and rubbing into their faces about how the “world’s greatest detectives” fumbled so hard
