the thing about the immortality quandry is that im not going to be the same forever, that's stupid, nothing is going to be the same forever, of course i'll go insane, then i'll come back

i'm going to become a billion different people with thousands of different faces and ideals because impermanence is the rule of reality

one day im going to get impulsive in like a 1000 years and im going to get like 15 billion different body modifications with the new advanced technology, one day my entire worldview will change because of a lifetime i spent with someone, one day im going to just choose something different, be something different, and thats going to happen over and over again, im going to be thousands of different people because its impossible not to be,

one century i will break and i will go through the most horrid, inhumane, state of mind a person could go through and then the next i will find the beauty in living again, because i have an infinite amount of time to do it, to even SUGGEST that someone could go on forever without going 'insane' is stupid, you have all the time in the universe, you are going to be everything

when the earth is gone i can spend billions, trillions of years drifting through space finding a planet with sentient life on it, and then i'll do it again, i'll spend as long as i need to assimilating myself to whatever new life i stumble upon, because what else is there to do

one day the heat death of the universe will come and even the faintest of white stars will dim out and leave me in complete solitude for an eternity, and i shut down, completely, utterly, a sense of being is useless to me now, i will shut down because how could you not ? and then either that'll be it or a new universe will form, and i'll do it all over again,

living a human life is all i could ever ask for and this way i'd live millions, my truth ❤

"but steven moffat does misogyny!!" yeah absolutely. no arguments from me! but are you also mad about how rtd wrote Black people in deeply racist ways, joked about sexual harassment for years, got Christopher eccleston blacklisted, wrote the Doctor as being in love with a teenager, and also can't do a finale that isn't fucking tin cans or the Doctor's ex-boyfriend?? are you also mad that rtd is showrunning Doctor Who's first season with a Black Doctor and hasn't hired a single Black writer? Or are you someone who thinks the queerness in his work fucking cancels out that shit? Are you just someone who only cares about Doctor Who being problematic when it's a writer you already hate?

imagine: you get your memories back after years of amnesia to find out your whole species is dead and earth doesn’t exist anymore. that the only thing left of your culture is your weird ex and his busted honda civic that barely even works that he stole from the government when he was 13. And he’s been taking members of an alien species for trips in his honda civic and they’re all like “woah it’s so cool” and you get upset because it’s NOT COOL it’s a honda civic, the turn signals don’t even work “wow it can go up hills” yeah OF COURSE IT CAN GO UP HILLS EVERY CAR COULD DO THAT. but they’ve never seen a car before so everything it does is the coolest thing ever. And your ex’s only tool is a fucking screwdriver which is somehow also cool to this dumbass alien species even though it’s a fucking screwdriver so you just look like an idiot screaming about how none of this is even cool it’s actually really shitty but your whole planet is gone so you can’t even prove it but also you’ve had a constant drumming sounding in your head since you were 10 slowly driving you insane. I would become evil too.

I like rose I don't hate her except sometimes I do hate her in the same ways i love dean winchester but sometimes really fucking hate him too. I like parts of her I like what's real about her I like her authenticity as a working teenage girl with messy feelings but I fucking hate how she's written sometimes and I HATE HOW BOTH THE WRITERS AND THE FANDOM PRIORITIZE HER OVER EVERY OTHER COMPANION EVER. especially when 9 times out of 10 people are being fucking racist about it!!!!!!

My controversial Thasmin take is that there are no meaningful parallels between Yaz and R*se. Other than some very basic companion stuff like "wants to travel with the doctor forever" and "fell in love with the Doctor" they have next to nothing in common. There ARE meaningful parallels between Yaz and Martha, both in personality and in character arc, but the fandom at large would rather die than ever allow something to not be about Rose
