The feeling of playing a kind of niche game and then coming on here to find the community only to realize that the fans reside on Reddit forums instead is. A Hellish sort of dread to say the least

Hello! I was wondering, do you have any ideas regarding clothing worn by the Summer Islanders and the Orphans of the Greenblood, respectively? I kinda imagine their garments being somewhat inspired by Socotran (or maybe even Malagasy and/or other African costal/insular peoples) traditional clothing, and by those worn by the Rromani people (but with more of an aquatic inspiration regarding colors and patterns), respectively, but your input would be very helpful and appreciated.
Another really old ask sorry anon

My Summer Island ideas mostly come from Ghana and the Ivory Coast, as these are costal countries with a climate seemingly similar to what the Summer Islands are described as. Clothing is probably made up of long loose strips of fabric folded over many times, as a way to let the sea breeze in easily during hot days. Very bright colors both from native plants and trade. Complex patterns that represent clans and family lineage

I honestly love the idea of a Romani inspired culture for the Rhoynar I think there are a lot of similarities, an entire widespread culture having to immigrate and refusing assimilation in their new homes even centuries later. What Orphans of The Greenblood wear is probably the most similar to a lot of the old Rhoynish clothing, very loose and wide for comfort during travel up and down the river, and this translated well into their migration to Dorne, so they stayed more or less the same

If you've ever appreciated my posts about LGBTQ issues, this Pride month, as a favor to me, please do something to help my friend Fadel ( @fadel-dani ). Fadel is multiply disabled. He has thalassemia, a blood disorder, which leaves him incredibly fatigued. The medication he needs costs €400 every month. He has also been in a very serious accident that left his leg paralyzed for a long time, and now he walks with great difficulty.
Tumblr media
Over 550 days ago, Fadel's family home was bombed and he was left with iron shrapnel embedded in his body. The medical infrastructure in Gaza has been decimated and he needs to get to a better-resourced hospital to get them surgically removed safely.
He cannot sleep at night because any movement while asleep causes the shrapnel in his body to move, and causes extremely severe pain. He suffers from PTSD, chronic pain, and insomnia from the bombing.
The people of Gaza, Fadel's family included, are going through a severe famine now. They struggle to afford food, let alone his medication. He urgently needs to raise funds for food, medication, travel costs to get to a hospital who can perform surgery, and ultimately for his family to escape this genocide.
Fadel has spent his very limited energy building relationships with strangers in the hopes that enough of us can help him to raise the money he needs. His campaign is vetted by @gazavetters list (#197), @90-ghost, and @a-shade-of-blue.
What you can do:
Donate any amount you can to his campaign
Make a post about Fadel to share his story and encourage others to donate
Share this post with your followers
Send him a kind message and offer your friendship

Something absolutely fucking bewildering about Israel being the aggressor in four different conflicts yet having the gall to ask the world to pray for them. Anyone else feel like they’re in the twilight zone
