Unpopular opinion but i always felt that Mew was (and still is) a jerk. The cutesy image is just to fool everyone else. It never cared about Mewtwo and it was never interested in him. Mewtwo may be its clone, but it would be never be Mew.

Also i made Mew look older because it is supposed to be older than Mewtwo.

Duality

People have often asked me if I have a piece of Mew or Mewtwo. I did make one way back in 2012 but unfortunately the full resolution file hasn't survived my many computer switches during that time and even if it did I feel that piece is a bit dated.

So I decided to make a new version of it! I liked the original idea but just wanted to give it a bit more polish and really hone in on the complex relationship between Mew and Mewtwo.

One that was created first and another that was created last. A child of light and a shunned being innocent of the crime of being born. And the rift between them.

Everything is done by hand in inks and watercolours.

I’m really curious whats soma story? How is he able to live in an apartment in castelia are humans just chill there lol does he meet other pokemom or mewtwos?

Project Genesis was started in the like 80's, to see if cloning people was possible, but was shelved when one test was just a little group of cells, due to repeat failures. It was picked back up and renamed Project Mewtwo around like early/mid 90s and infused w mew's DNA, due to a group of people forcing their way into the project to see if they could create a strong pokemon that could obey as a tool of oppression. The scientist that spearheaded the project decided to continue it, despite the people now leading it, both for money and personal reasons, however he let Mewtwo out earlier than normal (he still looked around a toddlers age at the time)

Said scientist was quickly and inevitably removed from the team, and replaced with a different scientist that wanted to speed the process along to create an efficient living weapon, putting mewtwo through a special kind of hell thru his toddler and teen years, but he did what he was supposed to, delivering oppression and being tasked to catch certain pkmn, because he himself was promised his freedom (but also, if he was doing what he was supposed to, he wouldn't be hurt. He wasnt one to boldly oppose like m1 and m16 were)

fast forward some years, soma, having picked a name for themselves, lives disguised as a human in the complex, protecting the peace of the people and pkmn there :-) but he also clears out any memory of interacting with his true identity, should it ever happen, to protect himself, and is ready to disappear any time. Currently, he's around 20 and has been MIA since roughly 2004... its kind of like the us military losing nukes n shit💀 as far as the public knows, Project Mewtwo is an urban legend/creepypasta of some sort

idk if interacting w other Mewtwos would be canon, but i have thought abt a possible scenario where m16's mewtwo ('newtwo', by the fandom) is this timelines' m1 mewtwo (the mewtwo from Strikes Back)
