A generation whose TV went off at midnight after playing the National Anthem. A generation that had parents who were there. A generation that laughed under the covers in bed so parents didn’t know we were still awake. A generation that is passing and unfortunately it will never return no matter how hard we try. For the record Echo Co., 2nd Bat Platoon 2079. MCRD SanDiego. We called our three DIs “The Idiot, the Animal and the Sadist.” The Sadist was the King Thrash of 2nd Bat. Other DIs would bring new ones to him so they could see the proper way to thrash a Platoon. We were secretly proud of him. Lol
