Byler and Water.

I find it very interesting how the Duffer brothers included water or anything that has to do with it in a handful of Byler scenes. Do I know what these all mean? No. But I know they’re there for a reason.

The scene from ep9 is the most interesting IMO. At first, I thought it was just Will pining over Mike, but I think it’s more than that.

In this scene, we see Will turn on the taps. Then it cuts to Mike filling in the makeshift pool with water. Behind him is the exit.

This leads me to my theory that Mike and Will are gonna team up to destroy the Upside down, like some sort of suicide mission. (I’m not saying they’re going to die!) How? I honestly have no clue, but it has something to do with water.

Also, the Duffer brothers said that “The Return of the King” is one of their inspirations for S5, right?
