BREAKING: Luigi Mangione's lawyers say that NY prosecution fabricated their claims about Luigi seeking to incite violence against health insurance companies, which they are trying to base their terrorism charges on.
Defense says that the act alone does not satisfy terrorism charges. "[Luigi] has not encouraged others to participate in similar acts. Indeed, nothing Mr. Mangione has allegedly done is evidence that he "intended to bring about revolutionary change to the healthcare industry.""

Anyways what do you think of this ? This is case related
Some parts of the Reddit comments that stood out to me (and I’m really glad actual trial attorneys and lawyers shared their insight, because I was totally lost at first):
"You don't just...miss a deadline. It can seriously mess up your case."
"This is a procedural motion to find out what happened, and it's NOT normal."
"Part of why it's so surprising is because the PA case isn't small potatoes, not even a little. It's where the most damning evidence (IMO) against him was recovered. If that get tossed and they can't use that, they're in big trouble—"
"If I was the NY prosecutor and the PA evidence got tossed, I'd be panicking, personally."
After reading this a few times… it really looks like, if it hasn’t already, things may not be looking good for the prosecution at all. You can’t just miss a deadline like that, especially in a high-profile case like this. It’s baffling. You would think that if they were confident they had the right guy (since it was Altoona PD—not NYPD—who were first informed about the sighting and made the arrest), they’d at least stay on top of basic procedural steps. But no, they completely missed the deadline to file a response and didn’t even bother to request an extension, which they could’ve done if needed. It’s just… weird. As someone said on Twitter, it’s almost as if they willingly fucked this shit up. But hey, let them fuck it up! They’ve been fumbling this shit since the jump by violating Luigi’s rights with the unlawful search and seizure at the McDonald's. Let this shit get DROPPED 🙏🏽

Luigi Mangione has been locked up since December 2024, and he's been met with nothing but the violation of his rights every step of the way. Luigi's right to be treated humanely is constantly violated, as is his right to the presumption of innocence and a fair trial. Evidence is not being provided to his legal team, and he's being treated with prejudice by law enforcement.
Luigi is not a handsome face and a few jokes online. He is a real human being with real pain and real health issues. Luigi is a young man fighting for his life and the media is doing nothing but trying to sexualize him and make light of his situation.
Luigi has already lost so much to this, and although he remains resilient, it's important to remember that his circumstances can't possibly be good. It's also important to remember that if they can do it to Luigi, they can do it to more people, to your loved one, to you.
So please, keep talking about Luigi. Keep standing by Luigi. Keep supporting Luigi.
Never let Luigi Mangione walk alone.

They’re scared because they know that the public is with Luigi.

They’re violating his rights because they need to maintain capitalism.
Keep talking about Luigi.

I miss those few days where we referred to the united healthcare ceo killer as the United Healthcare Ceo Killer and not Luigi Mangione. The trial hasn't even started why are we acting like he was convicted.

Dear New York Citizens: YOU'RE freeing Luigi. We're counting on you, New Yorkers.
When we say FREE LUIGI we're not asking the president, the judge, nor the prison. We're asking YOU, the people of New York who get jury duty this case to answer Not Guilty. YOU'RE the ones freeing him. You're the ones who need to follow the instructions:
Jury Duty exists so that the public can weigh in on what they believe is right. That's why you're there in that courtroom. We know what's right. We're just counting on you to say it.
Even if there's overwhelming evidence that he did it, it is your right as the jury to say "not guilty." This is called Jury Nullification. It means that even though he did it, even if he did it, we as a society believe that what he did should not be punished with death. You aren't failing or doing something illegal or shady by answering not guilty. It's not a morality test, it's not some kind of way to trip you up, you're not doing anything wrong. You are doing your civic duty exactly how you are supposed to. Your civic duty right now is to Free Luigi.

No- exactly please tell me that he had Ken’s latest clothing collection in there too?? Did he have the latest book on “how to shoot a CEO and get away with it” too??
I just can’t understand why they’re thinking that gaslighting “the people” is what they need to be doing right now?
We have extreme issues in the untied states as it is, but an “alleged criminal” (who has the right to a fair trial and shouldn’t be accused of being ANYTHING without reasonable doubt and evidence) of a healthcare CEO is more important than all of us?
Shocking? No. Embarrassing? Yes- but when isn’t America the laughing stock of the world.

So they want us to believe Luigi Mangione had a murder journal, a manifesto, a gun, two winter coats, multiple pairs of shoes, a hat, multiple pairs of pants, all his worldly possessions, rope, zip ties, an unusual number of masks, piles of monopoly money, piles of real money, piles of foreign money, multiple pairs of underwear, long johns, a silencer, bullets, and an entire other backpack, inside his backpack, and a laptop, along with other items. And it was a normal size, regular backpack? Like a school kid wears?
Yeah ok police, what else is in there? The citibike? The declaration of Independence? Fucking Narnia?
