This is going to 4 part series where I will show, how to cut a skin fade. In times like these home-made haircuts are a growing necessity due to Covid-19. These simple steps will hopefully ensure you give a clean cut to your client

1. First step you need to do is ensure you have your equipment clean and tidy. Equipment you must make sure have are clippers with numbered guards 0.5, 1, 1.5 and 2, a comb, water in a spray bottle, scissors, cloak or towel and small brush. Obviously I have other equipment that I use to aid me but these are the necessities.

2. Sit your customer in the chair. Place the towel or cloak around their neck making sure no hair can fall down onto there clothes.First begin with wetting the hair. Use the comb to part the hair like in picture 4. Begin the back and sides using a number 2. Start at the temple and move around the back to the other temple using a flicking out motion. Use your comb to brush down the hair on the sides once again.

3. Using the number 1.5, 1 and a 0.5 all open guard Move down the back of the head a milometer per guard. This should begin the fade process. Clean down your customer once more getting rid of any unnecessary hair.
