Happy new year!
2022 has ended and I really feel as if I pushed my crochet abilities this year! I did some big, amazing projects and I’m excited to see how much my skills will grow in 2023.
My craft and crochet adventures will continue at @2023-chaos-crafting.

Ugh…. New plan going forward… post projects I’m working on NOW with details of yarn, pattern, and hook size. 🙄🙄🙄
I’m so sick of putting a project down and then when I pick it back up I’m clueless!
So, here’s my current WIP:
Floriss Shawl from Hobbii
4.5mm hook
Hobbii Horizon yarn—colorway 9/Waterfall
Let’s see how long this one can hold my interest. It’s composed of hexagons and squares, all stitched together. So far, the pattern is fun and easy to work on as I’m watching tv!

UFO sighting!
I bought this UFO crochet kit on Etsy!
It was right at the edge of my skill level so it was kinda tricky. But I love how it turned out! It plays The X-Files theme when you pull the cow! 😍
It was a gift for my hubby and he loved it!

Found an adorable pattern for a dumpling kitty.
I finished one at work yesterday to give to my secret pal—a year long secret Santa type thing.
It turned out cute, but a bit wonky.
I started on a bigger one with jumbo yarn! Hopefully I can finish it today!

Not sure what happened here… this was ages ago! Somehow this post got lost in the drafts. Here it is now. Late, but still good!
Ice cream cows!
For our fall festival at school, I crafted a few new cow hats for coworkers to wear.
I did a rainbow sherbet cow using Lion Brand ice cream yarn in the Ube colorway. (I’m also using this to make a granny hexagon cardigan… but more on that later.)
To make it more ice cream-y, I wanted to do cone horns. I found this amazing pattern.
I also did a mint chocolate hat. I used Impeccable yarn (skylight and chocolate brown).
I free-handed the cow spots. I used a magic ring and just added stitches around in varying sizes.
They’re amazingly cute!

I’ve caught one of the bugs going around, so I haven’t crocheted vey much the past month. 😢
But here are a couple things I’ve worked on.
Another bucket hat!
An ear warmer for my mother-in-law for her birthday.
Nearly done with another granny cardigan!
Christmas break is almost here, so I plan to spend more time crocheting soon!

One more craft I want to try with my crochet club kiddos: ear warmer.
I had this color and thought it looked vaguely frog-ish.
Simple pattern: chain a little smaller than circumference of the head, then double crochet in the round. I added half circle eye dodads, and a black knot for the pupil.

I found this easy pattern for fingerless gloves. I have a fondness for fingerless gloves as it was my gateway into crochet. I saw dragon scale fingerless gloves and learned how to crochet specifically for this item.
That was 2019, and I’ve been crocheting ever since!
I’m also doing another crochet club at school and wanted to have some winter-themed projects for my kiddos.
Here’s the pattern I used.
I modified it just a bit, but it was easy and so cute!
