If I had time travel I would go see Herge and insist that he make Didi absolutely gigantic. I just feel like it would massively (lol) enhance the story without changing anything else.
He'd be far more terrifying, especially with how tiny Tintin is in The Blue Lotus, the absurdity of his poison induced madness would also be exaggerated if he was built like an American fridge, and just imagine a tiny Mrs Wang adoring her Giant Son. Now imagine how Chang would feel having this guy as his literal Big Brother.
His name is also the Chinese equivalent to "Junior" so. of course he must be an Absolute Unit

hey guess who loves tintin so much they decided to make an oc?? This guyyyy. Her name is Dorene Willis, and her close friends call her Dory.
ANYWAY, I mostly was inspired to make Dory due to the fact that the only major female character in Tintin that I’m aware of is the elegant and obtuse Miss Bianca. Dory is an african-american photographer with 1940’s inspiration, you can thank my pal @micaxiii for that because that’s what they thought she’d be like while I initially wanted her to have a 70s theme because I adore the 70s aesthetic with reckless abandon. Okay, on another note, I wanted her to have alot in common with Tintin because I just thought, if I could work on this story, I’d like to demonstrate to readers that race and gender doesn’t predetermine what your interests are going to be, and people who look different on the outside can be very similar on the inside. So now we got a little meddling photographer/journalist duo over here.
