FINAL
What is your project about, what did you learn from it, and what was your biggest challenge?
My project tells the story of a group of friends camping in a place they don't know well. At first, everything feels light and cheerful: there's laughter, music, and the warmth of a campfire. But that atmosphere gradually changes when they realize they're not safe. The laughter fades, and fear and uncertainty take over, turning the experience into something close to terror. Thanks to this project, I learned a lot about how to tell a story visually and how to improve my photography skills, although I know I still have a long way to go and a lot to practice. My biggest challenge was undoubtedly photographing some scenes, especially trying to get the lighting and expression right. But it was also difficult choosing the final photos because I took a lot of them and, honestly, I liked most of them.
Are you satisfied with your final proposal? What are its strengths and weaknesses?
Yes, I'm satisfied because I put a lot of effort into the project, and I'm proud of the result. One of my strengths was my dedication: I was patient, enthusiastic, and disciplined throughout the process. I really tried my best. On the other hand, I had to deal with stress and doubts, especially when things didn't go as I imagined. But even that taught me to stay calm and trust the process.
What was your favorite aspect of the class, of all the topics and genres we covered during the semester? What do you think you'll be able to take with you from now on?
There were several things I really enjoyed. I liked editing; although it's not easy for me, I found it fun to experiment and see how it can change an image. I also really enjoyed the topics of landscape and portrait photography. It was fascinating to observe details like shapes, symmetry, and angles, and how they can affect the feel of a photo. From now on, I will take everything I learned with me and apply it whenever I take photos, whether for a project or just for fun.
What would you improve about the class? Is there anything you wish we had studied in more depth?
I would love to spend more time learning how to use Photoshop more creatively and confidently. I think being able to experiment with the editing tools more deeply would help me bring more ideas to life visually.
Would you like to continue with Photography 2 or simply pursue photography in your free time?
Honestly, both. I really enjoyed this class, and it made me want to keep learning and improving. I would love to continue with Photography 2 to deepen my skills, but I will also continue practicing in my free time because I have learned to enjoy photography as a way to express myself and explore ideas.

Project
(1) What is your project about?
My project is a portrait of a group of friends who go camping, hoping to spend a fun and relaxing time together, but without really knowing what awaits them. At first, everything seems fine, with laughter, snacks, music, and the warmth of a campfire. But little by little, this peaceful moment transforms into something unsettling. A mysterious boy appears, and with him, a growing sense of unease. The goal of this project is to capture that transition from calm to fear and reflect the unsettling feeling of being in a place that holds a dark secret. It's part horror, part adventure, and part documentary-style narrative.
(2) What are the associated risks?
One of the main risks is that the photos won't turn out as I imagined. The lighting could change unexpectedly, or some shots might lack the clarity or emotion I want to convey. There's also the challenge of directing people without losing sight of the atmosphere I want to create. These things could lead to stress or frustration, especially when I have a specific vision in mind and it doesn't fit the immediate outcome.
(3) What measures will I take to avoid these risks?
To avoid them, I'm planning as far in advance as possible. I've created a mood board to guide the visual style and atmosphere. I've also conducted test shoots to see how the locations and lighting work, especially during golden hour and dusk. I keep my team (my friends) informed so they know what I need from them emotionally in each scene. And if something doesn't go perfectly, I'll try to be flexible and open; sometimes mistakes lead to better creative decisions.

Mapping the invisible
1. In the Kitchen
I'm stirring the pasta in this thick, creamy broccoli sauce that refuses to blend, but I'm too determined to give up. Everything is turning into a mess: there's green sauce on the spoon, the spatula, the stove, probably even in my hair at this point. But the smell? Onion, broccoli, chicken, heavy cream, a little cornstarch—it honestly smells amazing. I laugh to myself because it looks like such a mess, but it feels good. Like I'm cooking something that matters, even if it's not perfect. The flame under the pan keeps flickering, steady and bright, like it knows I'm trying. I may not really know what I'm doing, but there is love here. And that makes it enough.

2. At the Table
The table is set: two plates, two wine glasses, and that old floral tablecloth that gives it a softer, warmer feel. The pasta is already served, still steaming slightly, and the sauce seems to embrace each noodle. We're not seated yet, but we're admiring what she's cooking and think it turned out well, and we like the pop music we put on. Everything is simple, but it feels like a moment to remember. The outside world feels distant, and honestly, I'm glad. This, right here, seems to be the key point.

3. By the Fire
We sit together, wine glasses in hand, and the fire lies before us as if telling its own silent story. The glow of the flames dances on our skin, and for a moment, everything else fades away. We toast gently, no big words, just a soft "cheers" and a whisper-like clink. My fingers curl around the glass, and I catch the reflection of the firelight on my turquoise nails. It makes me smile. The wine tastes sweeter than usual, or maybe I just feel like relaxing and enjoying myself. It's cozy and quiet, and somehow it feels like the safest place in the world. And in that moment, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

A Moment to Remember
Somewhere between our second or fourth glass of wine, we paused to take a selfie: one of those quick, slightly blurry ones where we're both laughing and the light is too warm, but it doesn't matter. We just wanted to capture this moment, like a little snapshot of the night we didn't want to end. My friend and I have known each other for ages. We talked about everything: where we're going, our dreams, how we want to travel the world together someday. We also shared the toughest things, like the heartbreaks we swore we'd gotten over and the memories that still hurt a little. And while all that was going off, we played pop songs in the background, singing the cheesiest ones, and suddenly switched to sad ballads at the top of our lungs, belting out the best songs like we were in a soap opera. It was a fun, emotional, and absolutely perfect experience. A night that felt like a hug, like home.

Connection in Its Different Forms
First Image – Tenderness in Trust When I see this little dog, lying on her back and looking at me with such tenderness, I feel an immediate connection. The way she sits there, so vulnerable yet so calm, makes me think about how true love and trust are shown when one feels completely safe. It reminds me that the most sincere relationships are those in which we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, without fear of being hurt, and that it is in that vulnerability that we truly find peace.
Second Image – Moments Suspended in Time The scene of the girl and the dog observing the city fills me with calm. It's as if the world stops for a moment, allowing us to enjoy the view and the silence together. That moment, though fleeting, is so profound. Sometimes I find myself thinking that it's those small moments that truly touch our hearts, those that seem like they won't last, but leave an eternal mark on us. It's like a reminder that life is full of these fleeting moments that, though brief, leave their mark on us in ways we can't always understand.
Third Image – A Crossing of Gazes, Two Worlds Coexisting Here, the dog staring at something and the cat staring directly back at me creates a contrast that intrigues me. They are two very different ways of looking at the world, but both equally valid. The dog, with her open and expressive gaze, transmits a confident energy to me, while the cat, with its fixed and enigmatic stare, speaks to me of deep introspection. It's curious how each being has its own way of experiencing reality, but in this image, the two gazes meet, showing that, although we have different perspectives, we share the same space.
Looking at these images, I am inspired by the style of Julia Margaret Cameron, who managed to capture emotion and human connection in such a profound way. Like her, I set out not only to show a scene, but to convey that sense of closeness, of trust, of something real between the beings depicted. As in her photographs, I wanted to play with soft light and small details to create an atmosphere that invites you to feel, to remember how beautiful it is to connect with others, even in those small, fleeting moments.
My biggest challenge was actually taking the photo. I had several ideas and wanted to capture many things, and it was hard to decide what I wanted. I think I can improve my editing since I'm not very good ;3
The image that makes me happiest is the second one, where they both look out at the city. I really enjoyed taking that photo, as it captured a beautiful moment between two people who love each other deeply.

AI Prompt
Create an image of a hand that is serving a cup of coffee (with frozen movement). I would like the image to show a calm environment to drink this cup of coffee, it could be in a restaurant seeing that it is cold outside.
Imagine a steaming cup of coffee being poured with a perfectly frozen motion, capturing the warmth of the moment. Outside, the cold contrasts with the cozy atmosphere of our café, where every sip invites you to relax and enjoy. Come and experience a coffee that embraces the soul.

Voice
I hear something…
A faint, almost imperceptible sound, like the creaking of something stretching, settling in the darkness. A shiver runs down my spine. I want to turn my head, I want to sit up, but my body doesn't respond. I'm trapped in my own skin, my breath bated, my heart pounding inside my chest.
I fight the paralysis, the feeling that something is watching me. And when I finally manage to move my eyes, I see it.
Action
Across the room, a figure begins to rise. At first, it looks like a person, a woman perhaps, her body hunched over. But then its shape changes to a figure I can't explain. And then it returns to the shape of a woman.
I try to blink, but every time I do, it gets closer.
I want to scream. I want to close my eyes, disappear, sink into the bed, and wake up in a different reality. But I'm still trapped, my throat closed, fear clinging to my skin.
And then, this thing speaks to me. And it's not a voice, it's not a whisper. It's something that resonates inside me, as if it's always been there, waiting. And he says to me
"Don't move… I'm almost there."

Exercise Portrait part 1
Physical Appearance:
In this series of photos, the girl is my sister, and we're in my room at night, illuminated by the streetlight. Here, she's curled up into a ball, her body taking shape and resembling something spooky...
Physicality
In the middle of the night, my room is illuminated by the light from a streetlight. Suddenly, I wake up with a start. I don't know why, but my chest rises and falls rapidly, as if I've been running in a dream I no longer remember. The room is dim, illuminated only by the faint glow of the street that filters through the window. Everything is in its place, everything seems normal... until...

Lanscape
Far from civilization, the sun hangs high in the sky like a golden lamp, shedding its light on the world. In front of me, a serene lake rests at the foot of a majestic mountain, reflecting its silhouette like a liquid mirror, disturbed only by the gentle ripples of the water. A small path meanders through the grass, inviting one to explore further, tempting one to get lost in the vastness of the landscape. The lake’s surface, tinted a dark brown by the sediments and shadows of the mountains, shimmers with golden sparkles whenever the breeze dances across it, as if the sun is leaving tiny traces of light floating on the water.
There is also another lake that offers a different reflection: one in which the still water captures the vibrant hues of the sky and the lush vegetation surrounding it. Palm trees stand tall along the shore, their reflected images spread across the surface like a perfect symmetry of nature. The calm undulations barely disturb the clarity of the scene, merging the real and the reflected in perfect harmony. In this quiet space, time seems to slow down, allowing every detail – the gentle swaying of the trees, the sharp outlines of the buildings and the soft movement of the clouds – to become part of a living painting.
The mountains, covered in a vibrant green, rise like sleeping giants watching over the horizon with their imposing presence. Their slopes, dotted with trees and shrubs, seem to breathe with the wind that glides between them. In the distance, the song of birds blends with the whisper of the wind rustling through the trees, composing a natural melody that wraps everything in an atmosphere of calm. The gentle warmth of the sun caresses the skin, making the scene feel even more welcoming.
On a day like this, the world seems to smile, and with it, my spirit fills with peace and joy. It is a moment where time stands still, where the landscape and I exist in perfect harmony, as if everything were exactly where it is meant to be.
But as soon as I step closer to the lake, the landscape comes to life in a completely different way. The sound of the wind gliding through the mountains creates a soft melody, almost like nature’s whisper. The grass, green and plush beneath my feet, sways gently with the breeze as if breathing in sync with the day. With each step forward, I feel the crispness of the air brushing against my skin—a light caress that blends with the warmth of the sun. I stop at the shore and watch the water move slowly, reflecting the sky’s hues with strokes of blue and white, like a living painting in constant motion.

The image could symbolize the current crisis at the U.S. Southern Border, where migrants try every possible way to avoid deportation. Additionally, as immigration enforcement operations increase, many people live in fear even when carrying out daily activities.
