They’re literally “whatever souls are made of ours are the same (derogatory)” and I’m not sane about it

They both start out as Allies (blue sword boys) but both find themselves locked into loyalty to another person and end up on opposite sides of a war

They’re both highly competent and independent players that were initially reluctant to join their respective duos but form a deep bond with them

They both end the series following their “leader” (ren and Scar) into death; Martyn at the battle of dogwarts and Grian by jumping off the cliff

They both had thoughts of betraying Scar or Ren eventually but neither could go through with it
