Teamfight Tactics

Somewhere around 2018, DOTA 2 releases a mod called auto chess, although the name is chess it does not work like a chess but it resembles a chess because there’s a board where you place your unit wherever you want provided it is your area. The mode gained its popularity and Riot Games did not want to miss a chance to make use of this mode to create their own auto chess and they called it Teamfight Tactics or popularly known as TFT now.

If you love league of legends character and semi-idle game, then you will love playing teamfight tactics because all you have to do in this game is buy units and place them on your boards and let your units fight against other players until you get first place or lose at eight place.

Riot made use of their various League of Legend skins to make the synergy and classes that are available in tft in order to make the game really interesting.

I’m going to give my 2 cents here with a statement that Teamfight Tactics is the best online auto-chess mode game. The game is filled with excitement of getting to a perfect synergy for your units and epic battles between your units and others. It’s a game of brain and strategy.

Fall Guys

In August 2020, Mediatonic released a game called Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout and it rose its popularity globally like how Among Us did but here’s the funny story. Okay I have not played Fall Guys yet but I have bought it. The game lasted for few good weeks because after that Among Us suddenly became famous and it took almost everything away from Fall Guys, don’t get me wrong, the game is still popular and there are still a lot of players in the game but it is just that when Among Us came out, the game kind of loses its popularity among lots of gamers because of the type of excitement and joy that Among us give to its player is in a different level because it involves a lot of interactions between the players in a game.

But Fall Guys of course is still good to play, I’ve seen a lot of funny compilations on youtube on Fall Guys and I will play this game soon, it is just a matter of starting the game. Thus I cannot really give my 2 cents on the actual gameplay experience yet as I have not played it myself. I’m just making this post to remind myself that I actually have this game in my steam account with 0 hours of playtime.

Among us

Few months ago, a game suddenly got really popular despite it already being release longer than that, believe it or not this game was released on 2018 and only in 2020 it suddenly becomes really famous to the point where a lot of streamers actually use the game to make their stream content along with other streamers. It’s a really great game to be honest, I like it a lot but it’s really frustrating at certain point of course when people just vote you out without any proof even though you’re innocent and have not done anything wrong at all.

Among Us is an online multiplayer social deduction game with a space-themed setting where there’s only two roles, crewmates and impostors. Crewmates tries their best to finish all the tasks given to them in order to win the game, meanwhile impostors sabotage the tasks, deceive and kills crewmates in order for them to win.

It’s a really fun game to play with your friends if they’re chill enough getting blamed without any evidence or being deceived by the impostors because as much as this game is great, some people just would not take a chill pill in playing social deduction game as they might rage due to lack of intelligence (yea cause they’re too salty in this type of game) or poor sportsmanship. So if you are going to play with your friends, make sure they are cool or chill enough to play this game or you’re going to lose a friend.

My friends and I played this game and we had a lot of fun, we called it ‘teambuilding session’ as we have a lot to do among ourselves considering that we have tasks to be done as committees that will be hosting the UBD spectrum 2021 which will be happening next year.

Here’s my 2 cents, I like this game although it has simple graphics but what makes the game amazing is the gameplay and the interactions and the fun that this game will bring to you when you are sabotaging and killing other crewmates as an impostor. Try it out, you can buy it on Steam or you can actually download it for free on your phone through Google Play store or Apple store.

Overwatch

Overwatch used to be fun, I mean it is still fun but it’s not as great as it was before the game introduced a role selection feature in the game, usually you can just switch to any character that you want to use in the game but now you have a restriction where you can just pick 2 roles and you can only play the characters that are under that role class.

Let’s just leave that behind for now, what I like about Overwatch is not about the gameplay style, it’s nothing new, there were some games that made the same kind of playstyle but did not get much recognition as Overwatch did. But what makes me played the game was the character design, their abilities and their origin. Each characters comes from various countries such as Tracer, real name is Lena Oxton and her nationality is British. So the characters will have different accents and also different language by default, what’s fun is that they have unique interactions dialogue for every characters that they face with or they kill.

The story behind Overwatch is also great to keep up with especially when you see a talking gorilla that’s wearing a spectacle and carrying a railgun to electrify the opposite team and his name is Winston, turns out he got adopted by a genius scientist when he was an infant gorilla and then he became a genius as well because of his upbringing, how more realistic and logical can that be? Overall the storylines are great and recently there’s an Overwatch 2 trailer and it is a separate game rather than an expansion, I wonder if you can still play the original overwatch game with overwatch 2 players or you will have to buy the game sequel to play with Overwatch 2 players.

Overwatch is a great and fun shooting game that requires a lot of teamwork and skills, if you love crazy plays and want to make it to the play of the game highlight, grind hard to improve your skills, study the map and study the characters. I haven’t play much since the latest update and I heard that it is still great although some people complains still because of the role restriction but nevertheless the game is still alive and going.

Genshin Impact

Last month I started playing one of the latest online rpg gatcha game that was just recently being released at the end of September. Published by miHoYo , Genshin Impact is a free-to-play action rpg game with a fantasy open world setting and the battle system is based on elemental magic and character switching which is really new. I got myself playing it in order to kill my curiosity because the popularity of the game just suddenly rises eversince the game came out, I was thinking it is a gatcha game, not everyone like a gatcha game but this is different because it is an open world action rpg game, “how could a gatcha work in this case?” I thought to myself then I realized after playing the game for a day, it all made sense.

Genshin Impact is a beautifully designed game from its core to everything around it. Just look at the 3D design of everything that is in the game. It looks so familiar, the game developer stated that the game was inspired by ‘The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’, yeap that is why this game is really beautiful the color and lighting of this game is almost the same as BOTW game which has a really distinctive look of its own. Genshin Impact game developer then change the concept of the game into a multiplayer online action gatcha game using the elemental system.

Each character in the game has their own unique elements which compliments to other elements that is featured in the game, for example if there is fire and you combine it with wind, the fire will get stronger. This elemental feature makes the game interesting with its gatcha system because gatcha is all about luck and if you have a good combination character element pull, it will help you a lot with your quests throughout the game because at some certain point you are really going to need various elements to complete a quest and that is why the gatcha system worked in this game because most of the players are willing to grind the game so that they can collect the amount of crystal that they need to trade in order to make a character pull.

Aside from the battle system, it’s about the open world of Genshin Impact, BOTW made a really huge impact with their open world system where you can just climb anywhere as long as you can reach to the summit before you ran out of your stamina and Genshin Impact applied the same rule inside the game so players can go almost anywhere on the map and because of that the vast open map does not feel like it is there just for decoration but honestly this is a dream for all mmorpg open world players because to us, we love to explore anything that tickles with our curiosity and this game made it possible for us to burn our adventurous spirit in discovering new contents in the world of Genshin Impact.

Overall, it’s a really great game, I would say the game is worth a try and moreover its free-to-play except if you want to spend real money in the game you could do that but it’s all entirely up to you. The gameplay is amazing and it’s really innovative for an online multiplayer open world rpg game. I think I am going to play this game for quite some time. The only thing that makes me feel weirded out in this game is the fact that Venti looks like a girl and dress like a girl.

My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising

Another anime movie that’s so good that I would rewatch it again and again and again. I think I’ve watched this movie 10 times for the past few months because I just can’t get over the extremely beautiful and edgy animation artworks done by Bones Studio. My Hero Academia is about a young highschool boy named Izuku Midoriya born quirkless in the world of heroes where a quirk is normal for everyone in the society. One day he stumbled upon All Might, Japan’s no.1 Hero, and found out a secret which only few people knows off. All Might saw what the boy has in him to be a hero and decided to transfer his quirk to Midoriya who he believes will be his successor to become the symbol of peace in Japan.

Heroes Rising is the second movie from My Hero Academia and this one really outclassed the first one in my opinion. Horikoshi, the artist of this manga stated that this will be the last movie for My Hero Academia as this is because the manga itself will reached it end soon but we have no idea how soon. Horikoshi mentioned that the final battle that occurs in this film will almost be the same with the final battle that will happen in the manga itself which I hope will have a lot of major improvisation because the final battle of this movie is so good that I can still picture it clearly in my mind and I do not want to replace it with another good fighting scene but have another fighting scene in another area of my memory instead.

What’s so good about this movie?

Everything! This time they brought in all the U.A. High’s class 1-A student into the movie instead of just selecting a few characters that are more popular like the first movie. Although this time there’s only 4 villains against all 20 hero students, the movie managed to bring out the best of each characters by showing how they really use their abilities in fights without shadowing the other characters except for Midoriya and Bakugou who are the two main highlight of this movie because both of them are teaming up against the leader of the villain who is supposed to have multiple quirks similar to All for One.

The final stand-off is really good that it gives me goosebump when the song ‘Might’ from the anime starts playing when Midoriya and Bakugou is already at the edge of their wits and Midoriya came up with the only solution and that is to transfer One for All to Bakugou who has the same dream as him and also look up to All Might similarly despite his rude personality but his heart is pure. Yeap that’s right, Duo One for All happened in this movie and that really blew my mind. It took me by surprise plus the background song made everything really epic and beautiful along with the super ridiculously fast and dynamic battle scene which is really breathtaking and I swear I was in silent watching the final scene unconsciously holding my breath and only when the fight is over I was like “woah what a fight”.

If you have not watch this movie, I would totally recommend you to watch it and enjoy every bit of it. It is by far one of the best anime movie that I have ever watched without disappointing me who is a big fan of My Hero Academia myself.

Jujutsu Kaisen

I love reading manga online and there’s one manga that I’ve been following that have just released its anime. Jujutsu Kaisen. Currently it has 129 chapters and going strong. The artist of the manga is Gege Akutami. The story is about Yuji Itadori who is an unnaturally too fit for a high school student even for a normal human being as well. Yuji is a member of the Occult Research Club which only has 3 members despite his innate talent for sport.

One day his senpai in the Occult Research Club unsealed a talisman charm of a cursed object that they found on the school ground and that’s when Yuji’s ordinary high school life changes into the life of exorcising curses as a sorcerers and shamans of the modern world.

I love manga that uses exorcism, curse object, the Shinto myth and shamans as its storyline base. To me it’s really interesting how each different manga artists can come up with a lot of their own different version of Shikigami and curse objects. Thus whenever I found a manga that has this kind of story, I’m jumping on the boat. Jujutsu Kaisen is really a good read, I have also watched the anime and trust me you will like it. The artwork and animation is solid unlike the cheap Naruto filler episode animations and drawings. What I like about Jujutsu Kaisen is that it is packed with fighting actions and storyline is very interesting and I am staying to see what kind of development will the story have more in order to keep this manga alive.

The characters in the manga is really well designed and they have funny personalities each for their own good. There’s a talking panda named Panda, and when he was introduced they just say his name without even further explaining why is there a talking Panda as a student in the Magic school that they are studying at.

That is the kind of humor that this manga has.

I hope it will not die down like any other good manga that only goes on for a few chapters. It has been really hard to find a good manga read online since two of the big three has already ended. Do you know what manga I meant by the Big Three? One Piece, Naruto and Bleach. Only One Piece is still going and Eichiiro Oda already stated that the manga is already 80% completed.

Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna

Anybody a Digimon fan here?? Have you guys watched the latest movie Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna?? You have to watch it if you have not and don’t blame me for this but I am going to put some spoiler into this post, this was never a spoiler free blog anyway.

Since I was a kid I’ve always been following the Digimon series since season 1 until the end of season 2 because I never liked the following sequel after that. The first digidestined saga was the best out of all the Digimon sequels, you can even tell that Tai and his friends are the most popular out of all the digidestined group considering that they even make a remake of the Digimon series in this year and also produced the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna as a last movie for the first digidestined that is happening in the timeline before the epilogue of Digimon season 2.

Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, few minutes into the movie they already managed to make you feel nostalgic with the appearance of Parrotmon coming out from a digital rift in the middle of the city. Do you remember Parrotmon? 21 years ago in the year 1999 a film called ‘Digimon Adventure’ which was used as the pilot episode for Digimon Adventure season 1 following the adventures of Tai and his friends. This was the very first Digimon film and in this film Greymon fought against Parrotmon which appears from the sky through a digital rift in the middle of the city, sounds familiar??

Yes, I honestly think they purposely pulled off the same exact plot but with major improvisation of course. Now if you have seen Digimon Adventure Tri you will notice that they changed the digivolve animation in Tri and they could have use it again in this movie but no, they pulled another nostalgia by using the classic rotating digivolving style plus a different version of Brave Heart which has always been the epic battle/digivolve theme for the Digimon Adventure series season 1.

Also there’s also one scene that resembles the scene from the movie back then as well which is the scene when Tai took the whistle from Hikari and blows it and then it shows Sora from behind. Hey that scene was a total remake from the first movie as well when Tai blows Hikari’s whistle to wake up Greymon and then it shows Sora from outside her window.

The filmmakers just would not stop playing with our emotions reminding us of the past and how long ago it has been but you still can picture it clearly in your mind.

The film made me teared up a bit in that scene before Agumon and Gabumon evolves into their final evolution form called Agumon: Bond of Courage and Gabumon: Bond of Friendship. The background song hits me hard and that scene was really epic and beautiful.

The ending was also really sad, it was total silent and I just can’t help thinking that I don’t ever want Tai and Yamato to part ways with Agumon and Gabumon but you just have to face it afterall.

League of Legends

League of Legends or LOL is my number 1 game even up until now. I have been following up with this game since it was released when the map color was all red and spiky (you will get what I mean if you had followed this game since season 1). Before LOL was released, I used to play DOTA a lot with my friends on LAN when it was still on Warcraft 3 and then we all got busy so we did not play that much anymore until I got introduced into LOL and I was hooked just like that, I like it and to me at that time the graphics were already good considering it was the year 2009 still.

I spent a lot of my time from then on until now playing League that I did not ever feel like wanting to leave. I love league because of the competitiveness of the game itself although it hurts when you get salty random online teammates that you got matched up with in the game when you don’t have your friends to play with. I remember the first champion that I bought was Ezreal and he was one of the most expensive champion in the game that I had to grind a lot of games to save money to accumulate the amount that I needed to buy him but I was having so much fun that I actually did not felt like it was that long me to get him.

Throughout the years League became one of the game that made e-sports famous because of the two international competition that is held every year which is the Mid-Season Invitation also known as MSI and the other one is League of Legends very own World Cup for League of Legends which is League of Legends World Championship also known as Worlds. I am always hyped up for Worlds every year because of how good their promotional campaign is to promote the competition.

One of the best thing about League of Legends also is not just about the gameplay but something that is outside the game which is their cinematic animations. I am not being bias but trust me when you watch League cinematics animation you will get goosebumps and they have a lot of different style every time it comes out following the theme of the animation the drawings will change and the vibe will be so much different than the previous animation. The game developers created a lot of different universe inside the game following the skins that are released for League Champions which makes the game more interesting if you follow the lore of each champions because Riot games did not forget to include great storylines for each characters.

I am going to stop here because the more I talk about League the more I would get deeper into League topic and you would not be able to catch up anymore. So as I said, League is my number 1 game not only in the genre of Multiplayer Online Battle Arena game but in general itself this is my most favorite game. I don’t just love the gameplay but I also freaking love the designs and the stories that they give into the game to make League of Legends alive. I have spent a fortune in the game with real money just to buy skins for my favorite champions. The game is free to download from their own website and they have just released their own League of Legends: Wild Rift which is the mobile version of the game a week ago.

Apex Legends

In March 2017 a whole new genre of shooting game was made famous with the release of Player Unknown Battleground or better known as PUBG and I bought it only 1 year after it was out but to me it wasn’t really worth all the hype. Then in February 2019, without any announcement or any promotional campaign at all, EA games released their own battle royale genre game called Apex Legends for free and it became a hype to all the gamers that are really into Battle Royale shooter game.

The game took the whole gaming community by surprise that when it came out a lot of the PUBG players moved to the Apex Legends and got hooked into the game. What really made a huge impact was that a gaming streamer celebrity known as Shroud who has been playing PUBG for a long time was involved in the development of Apex Legends and it made a lot of his loyal followers to follow his path on moving to Apex Legends. I love how the developers made the game under Shroud’s consultation because he is by no words is the best battle royal shooting gamer up to now and this shows how much the developers really care about what the players want by asking for Shroud’s help in order to identify the flaws that every other battle royal that has already been released are lacking.

One of the best thing about Apex Legends is its fast pace gameplay, if you have played PUBG or Fortnite you will notice the difference with the features that they give for the player mobility inside the game. You can slide downhill with your character while aiming and shooting which some really players have made insane gameplay with the terrain of Apex Legends map. What differs Apex Legends from PUBG or Fortnite is the character selection feature, before the game starts you get to choose one character in the game from a big selection and each of these characters have different abilities and each of their own perks.

The letdowns of this game is how frustrating it can be when you’re already far in the game but suddenly you get disconnected. At certain point you would be left behind in the lobby while your party gets into the game so your friends have to leave the game and send you another invite or they join your party again and again. Sometimes, there’s going to be a few hackers in the game.

I will conclude that Apex Legends is my go to game if I want to play battle royal game not only because of the gameplay itself but the game itself is free to play, the only thing that would involve money in Apex Legends is to buy the in game money for battle pass which lets you access to rare skins and voice lines. You can download the game now in steam and currently it’s the start of season 7. You’re not that far behind.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

I was so happy when Capcom decided to release Monster Hunter World on steam in 2017 so that pc players can play the game. I bought the game immediately when it was available for pre-order on steam which cost around BND50+ and I never regret buying it. I grinded the game so hard that I finished the main story in a week. But Capcom didn't disappoint us, after 2 years Capcom released an expansion called Monster Hunter World: Iceborne! You guys have no idea how totally hyped up Monster Hunter players everywhere when the expansion comes out.

Now what's so good about Monster Hunter World: Iceborne? Why do I love it so much that I can talk about it all day? Here's my 2 cents, let's talk about the design and features of the game first. The setting of the game is kind of like a primitive yet modern civilization where they live by studying the ecosystem that is full of monsters and unique endemic life form. The game is a multiplayer online hub game unlike an open world MMORPG game so you can only be in one online session with a maximum of 16 people and go on missions with a maximum of 4 people but that is not a problem at all, the game itself is already satisfying enough that you wouldn't even bother to complain about the online player limitations.

Throughout the game you can craft new armors and weapon as you get to hunt stronger monsters and carving parts from them. Here's the best thing about monster hunter world, you can put a layered armor on top of your actual armor to make yourself look cool with the desired appearance that you want your character to have with your partner. Oh did I mentioned that you are going to have a partner called palicoes, what are palicoes? They are your partner warrior cat who will fight and provide support for you when you're hunting alone or in duo. Yeap, cats. They are so cute and you can even craft armors for them which is the best thing.

Monster Hunter World gameplay is a whole new experience where you can still get killed by weak monsters if you underestimate them just because you have high rank armors but it’s all about your playstyle. Trust me even a cute Dodogama and a Great Jagras can kill you if you are careless. I was not really good in this game at first when I started playing but after spending more than 400hours in the game (yeap that’s how much time I’ve spent in this game) I am still now nowhere nearby the level of my friends who have played this game for more than 999hours but hey I’m getting there. The only sad thing is that now Capcom is focusing more on Monster Hunter Rise for Nintendo Switch that’s going to be release next year in 2021, thus the final update for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne have already been and that is the Fatalis and Arch-tempered Velkhana update but even after finishing this mission, it does not stop us from playing the game because we love it so much that to us this game never ends at all.

In conclusion, I will not stop claiming that Monster Hunter World is one of the best game that I have ever played. No matter how long I’ve played this game, it will always feel the same to me. This is a game that will stay green in my memories and I have no regret buying this game and its expansion

Phasmophobia

Paranormal activity, insidious and conjuring. All these movies are groundbreaking horror films that has ghosts, supernatural activity and demons. I remember back then in like 2000s there's a documentary called 'Ghosthunters' and in the recent years BuzzFeed Youtube channel also made a show called BuzzFeed Unsolved and there's always special episodes called BuzzFeed Unsolved Supernatural where the hosts would go to a place that is reported as haunted and try to sight a ghost or anything that is supernatural in that location. We all like to watch this kind of stuffs because we want to see the ghosts and apparently when there's none at all we would feel disappointed and bored but we're afraid of the ghosts, you get what i mean? You get excited but scared at the same time.

Why am I talking about this?

What if I tell you that there's a game that can give you the similar kind of feeling and you can see ghost? Yeap that's right, you can actually see a ghost (but of course it's not a real ghost but a ghost in the game) and I swear that these ghosts are really well designed realistically. It's called Phasmophobia. If you like hunting for supernatural related stuffs, then you should play this game because in this game you are going to be a paranormal hunter. That's right, just like Ryan and Shane in Buzzfeed unsolved supernatural. You are going to go on missions to identify what ghost is haunting that location along with 3 other optional objectives that you can clear up to increase the reward money that you will get at the end of the mission.

What's interesting about this game is the voice recognition feature. In every mission, the ghost will have a name that you can look up on a white board and you can use its name to ask a question such as saying "James Martinez, where are you?" and the ghost might reply "close" that means he's nearby to where you are standing or even more scary, he's behind you. Be careful with what you're saying because you might anger the ghost and they will hunt you down to kill you.

You know what’s crazy? I know if you’re going to play this game you would want to stick with your friends as much as possible all the time right? But here’s the crazy thing, some of the ghost won’t respond or won’t appear at all if you keep on sticking together so at some point, you still have to experience the feeling of being alone in the dark trying to call out to a ghost no matter how scared you are. I get goosebumps each time something happened in the game such as the ghost that suddenly appears in front of me in the laundry room while I was alone and she was singing! SHE WAS SINGING! That was one of the scariest thing I have ever experienced in this game.

Here's my 2 cents, I freaking love this game. I've been playing it non-stop with my friends after buying it together, all four of us. We have been laughing while hunting for the ghost and we have screamed our lungs out together in the game running away from the ghost, hiding in the closet and toilet. Trust me, this game is really worth the purchase.
