<3dish>
I always felt inspired when all different aspects came together in my vision. But after I experimented with 3D tools, I realized that through a simple 3D image, I can be touched. Especially when it looks more computerized graphic than a realistic world. It became one of my newest artistic taste. So I created my own word the “3dish” to show what I’ve felt from different concepts. They are 4 categories that follows,
1. One world
With 3D tools, you can create a world that appears like a realistic world or abnormal view of the world and it can be combined. Therefore the image itself is another world.
2. Create
overlap: a single object can be overlapped. In real world objects can only overlap many times only being destroyed to be combined as one. But in 3D image many objects can be overlap and combined without being disturbed to be seen as one.
3. Modify
In real world its very hard to fix while the project is in a progress, such as sculpture and painting. Theres are limits where you could backtrack. But with graphic tools including 3D tools, you can always modify with ctrl+z to any point of time during the process. Its possible to go back in time while its not possible in the real world.
4. Texture
You can change the material property with just by a click of a finger. For example in the real world when I make a box. It all depends on the material, such as paper, steel or wood. I would have to figure out if its possible to create the box with that material. Plus it is very time consuming and high cost compare to 3D image. In 3D tools you skip the process of material preparation and use numbers to make object become different material. It allows you to create objects freely without limits.
(ex. In real world-purchase the right thickness steel material, cut it with plasma or grinder, sand the surface, weld it together, sand it again, finish it with buffing!)
