But I’m here to try again because I just really love listening to other people AUs and story building! I love the whole Fugi concept and the borderlines and what not and I’m very curious about some things!

With the ENAs is there a hierarchy? With Fugi with her physique being more unique is she a stronger ENA? Also about the borderlines are they gates to the doors like in the game? Do they actually exists or is it totally different. Do ENAs have abilities? Is the borderlines like the main hub for portals?

I’ll stop there I know it’s a lot but I just am soooo curious and I love reading about you ENA and her world of operation! Also you don’t have to answer everything! It’s a lot and I’m happy to get some crumbs. Thank you for answering!! :3

Hello! This was actually the one I was typing on until it got sent to Delete-My-Draft city. Fortunately for you, however, I was able to rewrite everything to be more succinct, so let’s get into it.

Borderline ENA Hierarchy

In addition to Joel-established ENA racism, we have KK-established ENA racism! (Hooray!) Again, not disclosing too much because I have something for that in the works, but! ENAs, for a lack of a better descriptor, are regarded as “higher maintenance” and vulnerable compared to everyone else in Borderline, but they are still welcomed within it. Naturally, some ENAs are more skilled than others, though all abide by the Law, so not much reality-altering chaos ensues there.

Powerscaling Fugi

Fugi was appointed Czar due to her ability to suppress her “personalities”— Levelhead she’s called for it. She’s definitely stronger than the ENAs we know, especially mentally. I suppose she only grows stronger when Intermediate falters, making way for ENA-esque instability, but! I don’t intend her to just blow everyone up despite having the power to.

Borderline

Sighs and whips it out, and by “it” I mean primitive concept design. Here’s Borderline. It’s in a desert far across the blood ocean. As for how you get in, Sixth Lamina opens to immigration and visitation, and Third Lamina opens to asylum. People can’t really leave the place unless you’re a Broker or a high class FUGItive.

Teleportation happens via Komtak, but Komtak ranges are limited by what you’ve charted, so you’d have to go to your destination before you get to warp to it. You might not even want to warp because it does break everything that isn’t Komtak-proofed.

I actually was inspired to make an oc that lives within the borderline! I was just curious what the general temperament of the place is. I assume crime isn’t dwindled down to nothing. Would you say it’s near incessantly peaceful? Moderately? There’s very little information about the environment, so you don't have to answer.

Also, are you ok receiving our ocs inspired by your story? I just want to know your boundaries because I'd love to info dump about the oc I’m making, but I’m neither an artist, so I'd be sending a bunch of reference photos, nor am I cohesive at all, so it would just be a rambling mess. I don't want to clog up your inbox lol

Yes, the average crime rate within Borderline is low but never zero.

While, overall, Borderline is right there at being a surveillance state, some Bonds may just be more lenient or allow little to no FUGItives. Second Bond, for example, upholds an honor system and does not welcome FUGItives without warrant.

What would be considered a minor and major offense in the Borderline?

You mentioned people who entered the Borderline generally can't leave, but so there anyway to get like... A travel visa (for lack of a better term) where you alcan legally enter and then leave?

To preface, I’m aware that the most recent character crossovers may have blurred the lines of what is and is not canon regarding my AU. Those are for fun!

I am neither truly recruiting nor bending people into Fugi’s will since, like ENA:DBBQ, ENA:JD has its own canon, and it’s far from my intent to just intrude and take from others’ works and characters! Although, you are very much free to write yourself into ENA:JD, which is what people have harmlessly been doing so far. As for the matter at hand:

Borderline Law

There are federal and state (Bond) Laws within Borderline, so there is some variability in what constitutes offense severity.

Examples of Major Offenses — Curfew violations (typically from 5:00PM-5:59AM), Forgery, Illegal entry/exit, Seeding, Salting, Skinning, Grafting.

Examples of Minor Offenses — Possession of Inappropriate or Prohibited Inventory (PIPI, yes, I’m deathly funny), Trespassing, Stirring.

NOTE: These are listed in no particular order.

Admissions

Firstly, there are no natural citizens of Borderline aside from the Suites, which are my “genies”, so no, they’re not just some super in-bred freak civilization (😭). The general public just can’t enter or leave without being thoroughly processed, and most citizens just don’t really want to leave in the first place, so they’ll also tell you that you can’t leave.

Meeting with a Broker — FUGItive Brokers are stationed in embassies in a few countries/civilizations. You could very much apply for your Papers there and then apply for admissions. This may be more convenient for people of notable statuses (i.e celebrities, entrusted collaborators and investors).

Seeking Asylum / Refugee — Borderline does accept people for protection, namely from its ally territories. Although, it typically provides more aid than it does admissions.

Illegal Entry — Forge your Papers and lie to Fugi’s face. She catches on most of the time, but some do manage to slip in but not without consequences.

Severance — Be a D1 hater and just blow it up or something.

Colanding — Coland(ing) Season is when Borderline has to open up and let people in and out. It’s the equivalent of a seasonal break. Most travelers are allowed entry within this time period, as Fugi lets loose a bit.
