2021 March Camp!
On the 17th and 18th of March, 45th held their annual March Camp! Although we could not have our annual 3 days 2 nights camp due to Covid-19, B21 still managed to plan out many fun and engaging activities for 45th to participate in, making this year’s March camp possible.
On day 1, to start off March camp, we had a thrilling round of games. Firstly, each group was assigned a plastic bottle to decorate, and we had to take good care of it throughout the camp as if it was our “baby”, to make sure that nobody could kidnap it! >o<
Nicole Lee from B24 decorating Group Alchemy’s baby bottle!
All of the decorated bottles :D
After that, we had an exciting balloon game to help us get to know each other’s names, and improve our coordination skills at the same time! :D
Group Mimicry trying to keep their balloon in the air!
We then had a relay game, every group trying to complete all the stations as quickly as possible to be the winner, everybody cheering each other on as the games progressed.
Following that, we had a Kahoot quiz to get to know each other better <3
Prize winners of the Kahoot challenge!
After all the entertaining games, we had a zoom call with Pastor Anthony for our CCT! He taught us all the alphabets in sign language and even taught us how to sign a whole song!
45th learning sign languages for alphabets.
In the afternoon, our groups had lunch together. We had fun enjoying the food and jelly and it was a really good bonding time for all of us.
Lunch with group Invisibility!
After lunch, we had to build our own box oven for outdoor cooking the next day. Each group was given a cardboard box, and we had to wrap the entire box a few times with a few layers of aluminium foil. After some discussion and wrapping the box, all the groups had their own box ovens! Hooray, we’re ready for outdoor cooking!
Group Healing putting together their box oven.
Time flies, and just like that day 1 was over!
The next day, the whole company participated in outdoor cooking for badgework. We were tasked to make box oven-cooked chicken, pizzas and muah-chee. After detailed instructions and safety precautions, we embarked on the challenge as a group.
Group Nature marinating chicken and chopping vegetables in the kitchen!
Some remained in the school kitchen to marinate chicken and cut the vegetables while the rest headed to the garden to start preparing the dough and start the fires.
Reyna from B21 coating the mess tin with a layer of toothpaste.
The cooking and eating took about 3 hours, in addition to cleaning up. For many of us, it was the first time we worked with charcoal and solid fuel fires, hence there were many failures. In the end, not many groups managed to cook everything perfectly. However, it was a very enriching and fun experience and allowed us to bond as a group and get to know people from other batches better. After putting in so much effort, eating the fruits of our labour was very fulfilling.
After outdoor cooking, we returned to the computer labs for special activity! “The Smurf Games” was a mystery game, where we had to work in our groups to find out which smurfs turned Gargamel into a rat!
We had loads of fun going to the various stations to look for clues, trying to crack the mystery.
Group Fire trying to crack the case!
After Special Activity, we had another CCT session with Rev. Anthony again! We recapped the hand signs we had learnt the previous day. We felt that the 2 CCT sessions we had during March Camp were extremely meaningful, as we learnt more about people with hearing impairments and picked up a new skill: Sign Language!
Before we knew it, it was the end of March Camp 2021! We would like to thank B21 and Sparks for organizing this camp and we hope that everyone had fun! Let us thank God for making this camp possible and continue Serving with Zeal!

Farewell 2020
On 26th November 2020, 45th held a farewell party for Batch 20! This year, it was Batch 22’s time to step up and plan farewell. Chosen for its significance, the theme of the farewell event was Noah’s Ark, so everyone was encouraged to dress up in costumes that brought out the theme of animals! However, due to Covid-19 this year, the party was held in two separate rooms and safe distancing was enforced. Nonetheless, we still managed to make this farewell a blast!
First, we held the Y1 Enrolment. Seniors from the graduating batch (B20) pinned on nametags for the juniors (B23) in their squad.
B23 initiation! Our lovely Teresa from batch 20 pins on the GB nametag for her Levites junior, Cherelle from Batch 23.
Next, we played a game of ‘Perfect Match’, where members of each team face the back of the room and try posing as accurately as possible to the animals on the screen, except only following the instructions of their fellow teammates.
The various animal poses...
From Phileo, Sia (B22) and Yuet Yuet (B23) showing us their best praying mantis stance!
Diana (B23) and Wei Jia (B20) trying their best to look like a lemur.
Subsequently, 45th tried their hand at a trivia Kahoot quiz made by Games Comm, with questions relating to the theme of Noah’s Ark.
Time for Farewell Videos... 45th sat down with our snacks catered by the food comm and watched the videos made by different batches; they were surely memorable and laughter-inducing.
Batch 20’s Farewell Video, a parody of What Makes You Beautiful (Ft. Anderson Campus and GB Room)
(note: these photos were taken in 2019!)
Wow, we surely were well-fed 😋
Someone dumping a whole lot of sprinkles onto their ice cream.
Lastly, our dear teachers rounded off the party by sharing their sentiments about B20 with 45th!
Mrs Lee speaking fondly of Batch 20 🥰
And that’s it! That’s a wrap!
Some busy animals heading home after a day’s fun..
Despite the inconvenience brought about by the strict social distancing rules, everyone had lots of fun with the various activities planned.
To Batch 20, thank you for all that you have done for us this year, your leadership skills were incredibly inspirational. Thank you for stepping up and leading the company even during uncertain times when we could not be together physically! We’ll definitely miss you and we wish you all the best for your future endeavours! May God bless you!

Much Bonding in March 2020!
On the 17th and 18th of March, 45th had our ‘Much Bonding in March’ day camp! Due to the new social distancing measures to be observed, we were unable to have our annual 3D2N march camp :( However, that didn’t stop B20 from doing a great job in planning our 2 days of fun and activities, and our whole company had a great time bonding with each other!
For day 1, we started off the day with drill, as the Y2s-Y4s worked hard to prepare for their drill tests, while the Y1s continued to practice their drill! Afterwards, we played bonding games over lunch in our squads <3. Then, we headed up to the computer lab to play Icebreakers 🔥

Saxe Flexi!
After a few thrilling rounds of games and lots of laughter, we settled down for Movie Time! B20 had chosen the movie Soul Surfer, an extremely meaningful movie that touched all of our hearts, and reminded us how we should rely on God to find our life’s purpose 💪

Movie time with Gideon 🌵
On day 2, we started off the day with the Y2s-4s taking their drill tests! Even though drill competitions this year were cancelled, we still put in a lot of effort in practising and perfecting our drill :”) Good job everybody!
After a yummy and filling lunch, we headed up to the computer lab for Afternoon Games! B20 had planned an extremely fun and comprehensive game that taught all of us the importance of storing our treasures in heaven, and how hoarding treasures on earth is foolish.

The President explaining how we could all achieve The Ohanian Dream if we worked hard 👑

Taking a test to get a degree from RI :-)

When Annacrombie & Faith had a mass auction, everyone scrambled to snatch the best deals!
The whole company spent a few “days” and “nights” working hard to earn money and purchase valuable items, as an effort to gain the most value in our time on “earth”. However, all that we had was brutally snatched out of our hands when a “tsunami” occured! Helplessly watching the valuable items that we had spent so many hours of our lives collecting being washed away impacted us greatly, and really made us consider what really is important in life. After the meaningful game, we went down to the field for more physical games!
We played Capture the Flag, where each squad had to protect their own bottles of coloured water while trying not to get tagged! We had a whale of a time and bonded a lot, especially within our squads ⛳

And with that, 45th’s Much Bonding in March had come to an end on a high note 😌 We’re really grateful for the time that we’ve had to bond with the Y1s, and even in the not-so-ideal circumstances, we still thank God for giving us the chance to get to know each other better!

Ohana 💓
<3,
45th

CNY Celebrations 2020
This year, 45th had its Annual Chinese New Year Celebrations! It was a special one because this was the first time we were having a company celebration at our new Braddell Campus. However, that wasn’t the only difference!
There were 2 parts to our celebrations this year. Firstly, we invited 35 elderly Singaporeans and their helpers from Xin Yuan Community Care to watch our school’s CNY concert :)
They all had a really great time watching the lion dance and various traditional performances.
Our principal, Ms Haslinda, greeted the elderly and welcomed them to our school with special festive goodie bags too!
Afterwards, we proceeded with catered lunch at the canteen! The elderly had a treat - delicious Nasi Lemak from Crave. 45th girls chatted with the elderly as they ate, and we all shared lots of laughter and happy moments :-)
The elderly enjoyed themselves very much and we were so heartened to see their smiling faces as they left our school after lunch. Thank you Xin Yuan Community Care for giving us this unique opportunity to give back to our society during the festive occasion of Chinese New Year ❤
In addition, we also had our usual company-level CNY celebrations - with a twist! On top of our Squad Lohei Challenge (we had to arrange the Lo Hei ingredients in the shape of a rat), we also had an orange peeling competition.
Representatives from each squad had to frantically peel oranges and arrange the peels to form the Chinese character, 福. Earlier in devotions, we’d learnt that the word 福 represented a divine relationship between ourselves and God and a kind of prosperity that easily surpassed all earthly treasures like money or grades. The orange peeling competition was a fun and memorable way for us to recap what we’d learnt in devotions as a company. Congratulations to Agape, who won the orange peeling competition, and Heralds, who won the LoHei competition!!
Overall, the whole experience of celebrating Chinese New Year 2020 with 45th was an amazing, meaningful and unforgettable one!

Farewell 2019
On the 29th of October, 45th gathered at Kampong Kapor Methodist Church to officially say goodbye to our beloved Year 4s. This year’s Farewell was Cowboy themed, which suited Batch 19’s adventurous and fun-loving spirit! 🐴🐴 Everyone showed up in their own interpretations of cowboy outfits - flannels, overalls, jeans etc.
Firstly, we started off with worship led by Levites 🎵. Next, we played some games in groups to get warmed up! Knowing that this would most likely be the last time we could play games with Batch 19 naturally brought upon everyone a sense of nostalgia, but we still had lots of fun!

Having a good laugh during games!

Teaming up to solve a 45th picture puzzle!
Next up was food and squad time! 🥘 After the exciting games, we gathered in our squads to fill up our stomachs and spend some quality time with Batch 19.

Queuing up for some yummy refreshments!
Soon after, it was time for the special item that everyone had been looking forward to! Pastor Gabriel from KKMC had kindly offered to perform a few magic tricks for the company and we were all looking forward to his performance! Firstly, Pastor Gabriel magically turned water into wine by pouring it through newspaper, showing us that Jesus is the living water that can satisfy our deepest needs. He also appeared to be able to read our minds by showing us a really cool number trick! This reminded us that God knows everything about us, even our greatest worries and fears.

Pastor Gabriel’s water to “wine” magic trick truly amazed us all!!
Next, it was time for the individual batch performances! 🎉🎉 All the batches had worked really hard on their individual items and were excited to present them as a token of appreciation towards the Year 4s. Batch 22 started off by singing their own rendition of “Old Town Road”, changing the lyrics to embody what 45th meant to us all, and also reminding everyone of our Cowboy theme! Next up was Batch 21, performing “Baby Shark”, complete with actions! 🦈 The purpose of Batch 21’s performance was to reenact Batch 19’s Farewell batch item when they were Year 2s and bring back fond memories. Last but not least, Batch 20 performed a 45th rendition of “When I’m Gone”, changing the lyrics to help the company remember some of Batch 19’s most iconic moments. Their hilariously well-written version of the song cracked everyone up, and ended the batch items on a high note.
Afterwards, the teachers came up on stage to give their dedications for Batch 19. As always, this was an extremely emotional moment as we’re sure it was hard for the teachers to say goodbye to Batch 19 too!

The company all ears during Ms Sandra’s speech :-)
As the sun began to set, the company had to leave the Church. Although many of us were sad we had to say goodbye to Batch 19, we took away with us many wonderful memories of their batch, and will forever remember them!

We’ll miss you, b19! 😭😭

June Camp 2019!
Day 1
At 7.30am on Tuesday, the 25th of June, 45th gathered at the KS Chee for June Camp 2019! Batch 20 had put in a lot of effort to plan the camp, and many were excited to see how it would turn out :)
Roll call & inspection demonstration at the start of camp
This year, the theme verse was specially chosen for its relevance to drill and training, because June Camp is a discipline camp. We even had a theme song, which was “Be Like a Tree”! We learnt that in order to bear fruit and grow in Christ, we have to be grounded in our faith and values. (like a tree, planted firmly in the water)
Next, we had a talk by Migrantxme, a social enterprise that aims to provide public education and raise awareness for the migrant worker community in Singapore. They raised examples of unfounded stereotypes many Singaporeans had regarding migrant workers, and taught us how to stay open-minded in our interactions with them. We all learnt a lot about empathy and compassion for those around us during the short 2-hour session.
Traditional food that Bangladeshi migrant workers enjoy, including Horlicks cookies and sweet balls.
It was finally time for the Amazing Race! The various game stations were designed to help the girls in 45th to grow in accordance with 2T17, and to bond with their groups at the same time. There were 6 exciting stations in total, including an Escape Room!
Amazing Race station 5, where we learnt about how people in power have to listen to the opinions of those around them to overcome their blindspots for the common good.
Day 1 of June Camp also included a trek to Botanic Gardens for lunch at Adam Road Food Centre! Everyone trekked in their groups, following the maps and clues provided. We played games, learnt more about our group members, and earned group points by completing tasks along the way. Food at Adam Road Food Centre was piping hot and delicious, a rare treat for a discipline camp! Teehee. Once we got back to RGS, we had bath time! It is extremely interesting to note that everyone in 45th, including Batch 20 (the camp committee) managed to shower within an hour for the first time in years! (maybe it’s got to do with the change in batches hm)
Day 2
We had an early start to the day, energising ourselves with an exciting telematch! Each set of activity required two members of a team to be partners and carry out exercises such as planks and burpees. After a scrumptious breakfast we had a fruitful session of drill to prepare us for the upcoming Centralised Drill Tests (CDTs). It may have been a tiring session but we encouraged one another and put in our best efforts!
Outdoor cooking, but in the canteen!? (due to the rainy weather)
Canned peaches and marshmallows?? Just like a true camper’s meal!
This year’s outdoor cooking was pretty special! This year, instead of the traditional dinner cooking, we cooked lunch outdoors! There was also a wide variety of foods. We had the traditional favorites such as mushroom soup and luncheon meat, but we also had novelty foods such as cheese tofu, crabsticks and even canned peaches! We competed to see which group had cooked the most delicious and appealing dish. Although it started raining mid-way, this did not dampen our high spirits and we continued to happily cook our lunch in spite of the gloomy weather!
After lunch, we took a bus to Little India where we learnt more about the migrant worker community in Singapore through Migrantxme. We also had the opportunity to hold conversations with migrant workers! This heartwarming experience enabled us to learn more about the migrant worker community in Singapore, and also inspired us to see what we as brigaders, individuals and a community could do to improve this situation.
In the evening, it was time for the long-awaited Family Night! Our families and alumnae joined us for a fun night of delicious bento dinners, performances and bonding. Our parents got to learn more about GB and what we did in the past two days of camp, while the alumni had a wonderful evening of catching up, and enjoying their last time in the Anderson campus before the Big Move.
Finally, as an apt end to a long but extremely fulfilling day, we had an inspiring worship session about love conducted by Mr John Samuel, Captain of the 60th BB. Good night everyone, and see you on Day 3!
Day 3
We started the day off with morning exercise! Physical fitness!! Our last breakfast of the camp consisted of ham and cheese bread!
Afterwards, we had our final Defining Moments sharing that ended the camp on a meaningful note. Followed soon after was our perishable food auction and prize presentation where prizes were given to the top three groups with the most points!

March Camp 2019
Day One
This year, on the 14th of March, 45th gathered at the Esther Room in GBHQ Singapore to commence our annual company bonding camp! Batch 19 had worked really, really hard to ensure that everyone would have an amazing time and we were so excited to see what was in store for us the next 3 days :)
Mrs Lee Hwee Ling, the captain of 45th, gave her opening address to the company. After which, we had icebreakers! We broke out into our camp groups and played games to get to know each other better.
One of the games we played involved throwing a ball around in our groups. The ball had different colours, so the person who caught the ball had to answer a question that matched the colour that her thumb landed on.
Great blowing skills, Abigail!
Every day of the camp, we had Company Contact Time, where Ms Hee Piang Chin, the speaker for March Camp 2019, would share about the topic of “Unity”. Her sharings were very meaningful and 45th really got to know so much more about how to be united and stand together amidst challenges.
Ms Hee in action!
After a short quiet time session in our groups, we went to check into our dormitories. We had to put the bedsheets and pillowcases on, and it took longer than usual for some of us :) However, we all worked together to get the job done efficiently!
4 people to one bedsheet! Fantastic teamwork guys :)
It was time for the Amazing Race! Batch 19 had done a fantastic job planning an afternoon of activities for the company! We went all around Singapore, from Serangoon to Somerset! Though our afternoon was packed, the Amazing Race indeed allowed our group to cultivate unity and work more cohesively.
Game of charades @ 313 Somerset

Soon after, we headed back to GBHQ for Squad time & Dinner! This camp, the food was catered by Eatz Catering and it was really scrumptious :) We all walked away from dinner feeling happy and satisfied.
Gideon during Squad Time :)
Next, we had Movie Screening! We watched Toy Story 3, and the 2 hours was filled with “oohs” and “aahs”, all at the right moments! We had an amazing time watching the movie and munching on chips and biscuits, and also took away many valuable lessons on unity from the movie.
Batch 19 posing for a fun shot during the movie :)
The first day was a blast, but pretty soon, it was bedtime. We were all so excited for the day to come.
Day Two
Rise and shine! The second day had arrived and the whole company was exhilarated because we would be heading out for a variable activity!
In the morning we had an an insightful talk from Ms Hee about Unity. Following worship and quiet time, we played a game of rubber band skipping rope to hone our unity!
Working hard to make our skipping ropes together
Terelyn skipping high as the seniors look on, impressed
Getting creative with our rubber bands!
After an early lunch, the company gathered for a briefing by Batch 19, when we learnt that we would be heading out to Sentosa for the afternoon! We were in high spirits as we boarded the bus heading to Vivocity, anticipating the exciting afternoon of activities that Batch 19 had prepared for us.
Posing for a picture in Sentosa
We went all around Resorts World Singapore to find different locations and attractions!
Visiting the Trick Eye Museum
Hi there, Merlion!
After all the activities, it was time for the picnic and some snacks to re-energise!
Building sandcastles from recycled items! Fun, and environmentally friendly :)
We had a great afternoon by the sea!
After taking the monorail back to Vivocity, we headed back to GBHQ. It was a fantastic afternoon of fun and bonding! After another mouthwatering dinner from Eatz Catering, It was time for the long-waited Night Surprise! Batch 19 gave us a short briefing, and we found out that it was “Toy Story” themed. Excitedly, we set off in our groups to the different rooms.
Batch 19′s briefing
Coming up with a strategy for Night Surprise
One of the games we had to play during Night Surprise!
Yeehaw!
Time flies when you’re having fun! Soon, it was bedtime again. The second day of March Camp was already over :( However, we all had so much fun the past two days!
Day Three
The next day, after a hearty breakfast, we set out to clean up the various locations that we used during March Camp. We certainly did leave the place cleaner than it was before.
45th really did have a great time at this year’s March Camp. It was a fun-filled one where we became more united and loving towards each other. Looking forward to June Camp 2019 :)
First company photograph 2019!
Thank you so much Batch 19 for planning this camp! We know that you put in a lot of care and effort into it! We love y’all! :) <3

GB Weekly Devotional Series: Post #7
Hi 45th! This month's theme is strength in weakness and this week's verse is Psalm 34:4 "I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears."

Whenever we are facing challenges, we may feel fearful and hopeless. Our troubles might seem too big to overcome and we start to feel weary, weak and overwhelmed. In the book of Joshua, the Israelites were facing many challenges as well. After 40 years of wandering in the wilderness, they could finally claim the Promised Land. But Jericho had a huge wall that they could not cross, and the Jordan river was at its flooding stage. In the face of these problems, God asked them to be strong and courageous.
When God said this, He did not mean that they would need to muster up their own strength. They only had to ask God for His power and strength to face these challenges, and He would guide and deliver them. The Israelites turned to God for help, and God parted the Jordan River for them to cross. They listened to Him and He brought down the wall of Jericho too. When we are facing challenges and fear, we must always remember to turn to God for help. As long as we submit our worries to Him, He will be with us. He will give us the courage and strength to carry through.
For the rest of the week, whenever you feel scared or overwhelmed, remember this:
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."Joshua 1:9 NIV Love,

2019 CNY Celebrations!
A very happy (but late) Chinese New Year to everyone! We started off the celebrations with the yusheng decoration competition in squads! Gideon was on their own, Heralds paired with Phileo and Levites paired with Agape. The task was to decorate the given yusheng in such a way that i resembled a pig, and the most creative squad stood a chance to win attractive prizes :-D Here are some pictures of the three entries:
Phileo and Heralds’ Yusheng!

Agape and Levites’ Yusheng!
After the yusheng decoration competition, we proceeded to lohei.
Here is 45th’s version of lohei!
1. Squeeze Lime on the raw fish and say 大吉大利. The Lord bless you with great fortunes and profits - Num 6:22a
2. Put in the fish on the main plate and say 年年有鱼. The Lord keep you always with having fish to eat & guard you with a hedge of protection - Num 6:22b
3. Put in the peanuts, sesame seeds, and say 五福临门 (长寿, 富贵, 康宁, 好德, 善终). The Lord make His face shine upon you with blessings that come like the sands of the beaches and the stars of the sky. - Num 6:23a
4. Sprinkle the pepper & spies power & say 招财进宝. And bringing in the wealth and precious treasures. (Some versions use 鸿运当头 Great Fortunes are on your head.)
5. Pour in the oil and say 顺顺利利. The Lord be gracious to you ensuring that all go well with you - Num 6:23b
6. Pour in the sweet sauce and say 甜甜蜜蜜. The Lord turn His face toward you to have intimate relationships with you that all your relationships may be sweet - Num 6:24a
7. Spread the crackers and say 满地黄金. The Lord give you shalom peace of abundance everywhere - Num 6:24b.
8 Everyone stir up the ingredients and say 恭喜发财. And wishing all great joy and riches. Praise the Lord. "For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever" Mat 6:13
For you are our glory and joy. 1The 2:20
After we had consumed the yusheng, we began the red packet decorating competition! Once again, the squad with the most creatively red packet craft would win. Every squad thought out of the box and worked together to create a harmonious and beautiful red packet craft - for example, Heralds made a gigantic carrot out of 30 leftover red packets brought from home to represent their squad! How fantastic. Unfortunately, Gideon won in the end, yet again — they even won the previous competition!
Heralds’ gigantic carrot!

Gideon and their award-winning red-packet craft!
The results were announced and Gideon was first overall, but the runners-ups also won goodie bags thanks to the generosity of Agape. <3

GB Weekly Devotional Series: Post #7
Hi 45th! This month's theme is strength in weakness and this week's verse is Philippians 4:13.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Whenever we face difficulties or problems in our lives, we may feel weary or helpless. Sometimes, it seems like there is nothing we can do and we feel like just giving up. In these circumstances, we can remember that we can always turn to God for help. God not only listens, but reminds us through His Word that He has a plan for us, and will guide us through our struggles.
When we pray and submit our fears and worries unto God, He will provide us with peace that surpasses understanding, and the knowledge that everything will turn out right in His best plans for us, as we trust in Him. His power is made perfect in our weaknesses. No matter the size of our problems, we can always entrust them to God and remember that we can do and overcome all things through Christ who strengthens us. Through Christ we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us (Romans 8:37) and His power is made perfect in our weaknesses (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Love,
Heralds & Levites

GB Weekly Devotional Series: Post #6

Hi 45th!This month's theme is strength in weakness and this week's story is from the Book of Matthew.
Jesus’ crucifixion is the perfect example of displaying strength in weakness. While He was being hung on the cross, there were countless insults being thrown at Him, but never once did he falter nor lose His temper and scold them back. "Those who passed by hurled insults at Him, shaking their heads and saying, ‘You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!’ In the same way, the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him. ‘He saved others,’ they said, ‘but he can’t save himself! He’s the king of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.” He could have easily punished those people, but He chose not to because of His love for us. He wanted to save us from our sins. Not once did he falter or disobey the Father’s plan. Jesus, or God for that matter, is willing to do so much for us. Although we may seem very small and defeated while wallowing in our weaknesses, we must remember that God is always watching over us and is preparing us for the glory of His kingdom. Though the future that is ahead of us might seem bleak, we must always know that God’s plans go far beyond what we see with our human eyes and that He will strengthen us, so long as we wholeheartedly trust and love Him.

Love,
Heralds and Levites

45th GB Devotional Series 2019 Post #5
Hi 45th!
This month's theme is strength in weakness and this week's verse is Psalm 46:1-3
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging."
In times when we face troubles and we are weak, we can always go to God, for God is omnipresent and omnipotent, meaning that He is all-present and all-powerful. When we pray to Him and tell him of our troubles, God will listen to us, comfort us and help us when we are in need. This can be seen in Hebrews 13:5: “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

Hi 45th,
This month's theme is "Trust" and this week's verse is Joshua 1:9
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
If God is for us, who can be against us?
There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God, so in any troubles or trials we may face, we can always be strong and of good courage because we know that the Almighty God is always with us and that He will never forsake us. Therefore, let us entrust our lives into His hands, because we know that as Romans 8:37 says, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
Love,

Hi 45th! The theme of the month is "Trust", and this week's verse is Psalm 56:3"When I am afraid, I put my trust in You."
In the course of the school term, life tends to get busier and we find ourselves with more and more commitments. Even though all these responsibilities may scare us, or stress us out, we should not worry too much but instead remember that God is always there for us. Whenever we are afraid, we can be sure that God will be there with us every step of the way, guiding us. Whenever you feel helpless and worried, just pray to God and remember that you are not alone because He loves us and will always be by our side. Love,
Heralds and Levites

Hi 45th!
The theme of the month is "Trust", and this week's verse is 2 Corinthians 5:7
"For we walk by faith and not by sight"
This verse emphasises that our walk with God is built on faith, and based on clinging and believing in God's perfect plan for us. All we have to do is to trust that God is always in control, and that He has a plan for us.
In the bible, Job lost everything - his wife, his children and his wealth, but despite all these seemingly unfortunate circumstances, he never cursed God for giving him these misfortunes. He instead continually believed that God had a plan for him, and eventually God restored him and gave him more than he previously had. We don't see what plans God has for us, but as seen from Job's example, as long as we trust in the perfect plans he has for us, He will reward us.
This further emphasises what 2 Corinthians 4:18 says - “So we fix our eyes on not what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” This shows that God will always provide for us, and His blessing from our devotion to Him and His cause, is all that matters

Hi 45th! The theme of the month is "Trust", and this week's verse is Proverbs 31:25
"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."
As the new school year starts, we may be faced with new worries - for Batch 21, it might be having to step up as you become a senior; for Batch 20, it might be the stress of adapting to a new environment; for my batch, it might be worries regarding getting through Y4. Definitely, everyone is worried over different issues, but there is someone who you can entrust your worries to - God. You don’t have to worry about what challenges are going to come, because once we put our faith in God, we will realise that we can just enter this new school year without any worries - He will always provide us with strength to overcome any difficulties, as long as we trust in Him Love, Heralds and Levites
