Dear otherkin:

Do not neglect hygiene or basic self care even if you dislike having a human form! Even if you are depressed! Even if you believe this life is fleeting and that you shall one day return from whence you came!

Because as a questioning Papyrus copinglink, I can tell you that realizing my teeth were mouth bones completely changed my perspective. Yes I was aware of this fact before, but somehow it hits differently sitting in the dentist's office, having someone scrape gunk off of your teeth. I began to see there are similarities between this form and the one I may have previously taken. My teeth are bones- and I have been neglecting to care for them, simply because it's "easy" to not care for them.

Likewise, teeth were my primary weapon as a harpy. When looked at from that angle, I have let my weapons grow dull and dirty. How can I strike fear into the hearts of my prey and enemies if my teeth are not in their top condition?

This doesn't just apply to my teeth though. My physical fitness is important to me as a Papyrus kin. My nails are like the talons I had as a harpy. There are even chemical similarities to a star in me.

Remember to look for these similarities, remember to notice them. Because I promise you, there is value in even a strange human form.

I feel like most of the time angels are portrayed as either incel's daydreams (like.. "beautiful, pure, modest, white-wearing, blonde with blue doe eyes and fluffy white wings and a straight yellow halo overhead") or "pure holy being who brings good will". I'm tired of it.

There are more to us than halos, fluffy wings, "pureness", and "holiness". Not all angels are women. Not all angels are "oblivious and naive". Not all angels are white. Not all angels are religious. Not all angels are Christian. Not all angels have white dove-like wings. Not all angels have a lone halo. Not all angels have halos. Not all halos are yellow and pure energy. Not all angels have one set of wings. Not all angels have wings. Not all angels fit nicely into one category. Not all angels look like "angels".

Some angels can shape shift. Some angels have more animal-akin traits. Some angels are animals. Some angels are rowdy. Some angels are "unholy". Some angels are fallen. Some angels are "unpure". Some angels are pranksters. Some angels are Pagan. Some angels hold grudges. Some angels harbor hatred. Some angels desire autonomy! Some angels are selfish!

As for us fallen angels, we're also not exempt from this treatment! Not all fallen angels become demons! Not all fallen angels are cruel. Not all fallen angels are destructive. Not all fallen angels are "Edginess Personified" or "UwU Sad Traumatized Bean". Not all fallen angels are evil!

a term used to describe a being who may appear as human, but is not.

a symbol i made for this term.

note that i did not come up with the term, just the symbol.

using the greek letter for H (heta) and P (pi) i combined the two. the symbol is called heta-pi and is written as ͰΠ

i came across this term, and i find it describes me as a physical nonhuman perfectly, as how my human appearance is a deceiving illusion to myself and others.
