all the fish i’ve owned/my mistakes👾

-rosie/glofish tetra💗

rosie was a pink glofish tetra, i got her when i was 3 and she lived in a small 2 gallon tank for years. by the time she got a 10 gallon tank i was already 8 and she was definitely thriving, but because of her age she began loosing her color. she eventually moved into a 3 gallon tank and died at the age of 8 :( i wish i knew how to take better care of her but she was definitely a leading experience as a kid. sip rosie <3

-sullivan/betta fish💜

sully was my first betta. i got him when i still barely knew anything about fish and he lived in a gallon bowl for a year. he was such a pretty fish, he had a red face, purple body and red fins. after having him for about a year he got moved into a 55 gallon tank! it had no filter..so that’s pretty much a fail. after 2 years he passed on while living in a 5 gallon tank and after that i did so much research and soon after got my next betta. sip :(

-marina/betta

marina was still young and he was light blue and white. i had him in a 5 gallon tank but he only lived for a few days, he died of dropsy :( sip fishy

after marinas death i didn’t get another fish for years, but within those years my brother got a fish.

-daddy fish (his name was supposed to be a joke but it stuck🤣)/betta

my brother bought a small light blue betta from the local pet store and kept him in a vase. i always felt pretty bad for him of course knowing he shouldn’t be in those conditions, so after a long 4 years (yes he’s 4 years old) he changed a marbled light and dark blue cooor with pink on his bottom fin. in july of 2020 i bought him a filtered, heated and planted 5 gallon tank which he is still thriving in with some bladder snails! he loves food and is a very happy fish with a good few years ahead of him <3

-mars/betta

mars is a fish i have now in a 10 gallon heated filtered planted tank with some neon tetras, a cherry shrimp and snails. he’s very active and sweet. i got him in july, he’s blue with white on his head and he’s a butterfly betta!!

meet malikai aka mal or mally :) this is the smallest guy of the group and honestly, i’m not sure if he’ll grow much more! this baby was bought on january 20th,2020 and his birthday is october 20th🎃 hes the most well behaved and just the sweetest angel! i bought him with clipped wings but thankfully they are grown back almost completely now! he’s known as a food bandit and loves scritches but will very rarely kiss. currently he knows recall, step up, and is in harness training. he’ll be learning a lot more soon! mal is just everyone’s favorite because of his temper, he’s very good with kids too and just such a good boy!

meet august aka auggie :) this is the only bird i’ve adopted, and i’m proud of that! he’s come a long way! when i rescued him on june 7th,2020 he was TERRIFIED of people. his old owners never let him leave his cage and never once held him. i brought him home when he was 6 months old. now he’s stepping up, hanging with me and slowly becoming a free and happy teil! he’s got some more training to do, and cage protective issues to handle, but he’s really come a long way with me. (he unfortunately hates anyone besides me though) he likes his greens, but is still more of a seed lover. i’m slowly changing his diet so it’s not so much of a shock! he’s doing good!💛 he’s 7 months old now and definitely a lot happier, so proud of my boy! lastly, his mutation is light pied :)

meet scout! aka lemon or scoutie :) scout is a one year old lutino budgie, she’s also a confirmed female!💞 her birthday is february 18th and i bought her on may 18th,2019. scoutie isn’t very big on people because of her past (a story for another day) but her and ripley are pretty close, other than him she just tolerates the other boys. it must be hard being the only girl! her favorite veggies are lettuce and basically anything the other birds will eat. millet is her FAVORITE though, and she doesn’t know much tricks besides step up and kiss. she’s normally decently quiet but at least once a day she’ll have a screaming fest with ripley🥰

meet ripley aka pip :) he’s one year old, his birthday is february 14th! i bought him may 14th,2019🦋 he’s VERY loud and loves flying laps round the room. he loves other birds and is super loving to malikai, the baby. he’s a ress pied (i believe) and his cere will most likely remain purple his whole life! this guy also loves head bobbing, lettuce and doing recall training (he does it for the millet) tricks he knows are: pose, kiss, recall, step up, dance and we are working on more! he’s my first bird, and i was very lucky with him seeing he wasn’t hand tame when i got him yet he trusted me immediately!
