Siomai
- is one of my favorite is a traditional Chinese dumpling served in dim sum that is becoming popular to many Fillipinos as viand or food snack. It is basically a small ball of pork or beef covered in a light filo style pastry and steamed. Siomai is either steamed or fried. It is commonly eaten with a dipping sauce composed of a mix of say sauce, calamansi extract, and chili sauce. In the street you can pick up Siomai for as little as 3 pesos each. Many Filipinos don’t like street Siomai claiming it’s not good meat. But I never had a problem and it tastes really good. SARAPPP tlgaa especially kapag may kanin pa :)

Turon
- Is the banana version of the Lumpiang Shanghai. It is a Filipino snack made up of slices of bananas. it is rolled in spring roll wrapper with sugar coating then deep fried. Aside from bananas, it has other variations like mangoes and even the jackfruit or “langka”. Its sweetness and crispiness is really something to look forward to.
The best way of eating the turon is by immediately consuming it right after frying. But of course , be careful! It is best served when it’s hot. MASARAP DIN KAPAG NILAGYAN NG NUTELLA haha :)

Taho
- A sweet classic treat in the Philippines made with silken tofu, sago, or tapioca pearls and simple brown sugar. Taho is a beloved snack in the Philippines, almost like a drinkable custard. Sago pearls are similar to tapioca pearls, and like the boba, you find in bubble tea. Taho can also be found in China, Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam. I remembered when I was a child, every morning the vendors will yell, "Tahoooooo!". Then I will wake my mom to let me buy taho.

Kwek-Kwek
It is one of the popular streetfoods along with the level of fishball, kikiam and barbecue. It is a boiled quail egg, with shell removed, dipped in an orange batter. Kwek-Kwek has a bigger counterpart. It is also called as "Tokneneng". Tokneneng is bigger because it uses chicken or duck eggs instead of the small quail eggs. One more interesting thing I've heard about this food is how these foods were conceived. It came and was born because of the natural resourcefulness of the Filipino people. One of my favorite street foods is Kwek-Kwek, I just really love boiled eggs with matching sweet sauce.

Isaw
-Is one of the most popular streetfoods in the Philippines. It is made of barbecued chicken or pig intestine. It can also be fried, depending on the tradition and to the person how do they wanted it to be cooked. For some people they call ‘isaw’ as ‘dirty food’ since it is made up of intestine. But even though there are a lot of controversial, i never neglect and hesitate eating it. Because you’ll just need to choose a right place. The best ‘tusok-tusok’ place I ever go to is at lagro, where you can see how clean they prepare by boiling it first. The marinade is usually prepared with soy sauce, oil, ketchup, garlic, and seasonings. And the dish is usually dipped in a vinegar-based sauce that is made up with chili pepper and onions (sawsawan).

Fishball
- These are probably the most popular street food in the Philippines, Fishballs are fried then served skewered and it comes with different sauces, the most often offered sauces are spicy (which is made out of vinegar, water, diced onions, garlic, and chili. Another is sweet (made out of corn starch, banana ketchup, sugar and salt) and the third one is sweet/sour (it is a sweet variety added with small hot chilis) The most common type of Filipino fish balls are known as bola-bola (literally, "ball-ball").
- They are somewhat flat in shape, most often made from cuttlefish or pollock, and served with a sweet and spicy sauce or with a thick, black, sweet and sour sauce.

Kikiam
- Was originally taken from Chinese cuisine, and authentically consists of minced meat and vegetables. The kikiam used by street food vendors in the Philippines however, are a more scrimped version, sometimes containing fish meat instead and a lot of fillers. They are brown in color and about the size of a finger. Kikiam is one of my favorite street food usually when I go home after school I immediately go to the nearest street-food vendor in our subdivision and buy some kikiam and dip it in sweet sauce.
