It was the same as every other night - Venus calling her in when the other girls can’t deliver. Dolling up, getting real nice and prettied up. And then raking in a shitload of tips from frothing boys and horny grampas looking for one last kick. It was easy money and she positively lavished under the attention.

A really little guy with a cute little outfit to match and bizarre features. It jarred her confidence if only for a moment - mask slipping to one of genuine surprise. But it was brief before she slapped on that trademark grin once again. She’d dealt with all kinds on the midway - it was just another Saturday night. 

“ Well, well. Look’it you all dolled up like that. Get yourself nice and fancy for lil’ me? ” There it was, the teasing drawl as she took one step towards him. Then another. Hands riding lower along the pearled garter belt she wore. “ It’s cute. Green really brings out your eyes, ” she tacked on before she came to a full stop before him. . . And pointedly bent over at the waist and placed her hands on either side of him.

Her grin was sure, albeit slightly lilted as she ran her tongue pointedlyover her busted lip with a little chuckle. That along side with the the ratherwicked cut to her arm were small prices to pay. Yeah, it hadn’t been thesmartest move to reject a handsy mob boss. Nor was it smart to punch theguy in the jaw when he’d grabbed her ass and tried to haul her back. ButCharly didn’t do anything she wasn’t interested in -- and she had a point tomake. 

If The Joker hadn’t stepped in and gotten her ass out of that tight spot, shewould’ve been another statistic of beaten and murdered gals. She knew thatfor a fact and it was one of the more humbling moments in her lifetime. 

“ I would’ve given them Hell if they kept it up. Probably would have my assskewered and throat slit for it -- but they didn’t respect the rules you set up.So I made a point of remindin’ them, ” she filled the silence with her chatter,hand nursing her jaw as she watched him work, “ Those rowdy fuckers had itcoming and I bet they would’ve done worse if we let ‘em contin-- ” 

And just like that she was silenced. Kissing tends to do that to a person. Especiallywhen that person was amorous by nature. It wasn’t romantic or polite. It wasprobably meant to just shut her up. But Charly leaned in all the same, even as herlip busted open again. By the time he pulled back, her grin was blinding.
