Compare the surfaces and volumes of the latest production Jaguars to the Type 00 and the E Type.
I would say they fall somewhere in the middle.
To me they've been moving away from the sleek 60s look for some time already.
Partly because of safety and functional reasons.
But also the influence of a techno/robotic design aesthetic, as design culture moves towards industrial and now digital more binary design langauge and away from craft and classical sculptural sensibilites/influences.
Maybe AI will steer the aesthetic back to be more sophisticated and nuanced?

Piteado style embroidery, Malverde on the heel and on the vamp a parrot, rooster, and goat.
Original embroidery was developed by a market seller in Cuilacan with the traditional motifs and transfered to China for engineering and production.
