sigh.
I weigh more now than I ever have before, and I'm woefully ill-equipped to deal with some of the stuff thats keeping me from my goals.
all the same, I'm doing it for real this time. I have to, no other choice.

So here's the thing.
I've been struggling with my weight and my size for a few years now. My Freshman 15 was more like a Freshman 40, and the sudden onset of COVID certainly didn't help. Just for reference, I'm a vegetarian, I generally eat pretty well, and I love going to the gym. One of my best friends asked me to be a bridesmaid at her wedding. That wedding was a week ago, and I wasn't prepared for what I saw at all.
Tumblr media
To me, I look round and puffy and chunky. I honestly can't stand to look at most of these pictures because I don't recognize myself.
I found the 75 Hard challenge a few times in the past few months. As a busy college student of legal drinking age in a college town with friends who bond over food, doing a formal 75-hard just wasn't going to happen. I made some modifications, so I guess it's a 75 Hardish?
The Ground Rules:
Drink 60% of your body weight (lbs) in water (fl. oz.). For example, a 150 lb. person should drink 90 fl. oz. of water in a day. (Yes, I know that's a lot!)
Pick a diet plan and stick to it. I'll be tracking my calories too in the interest of trying to stay in a slight deficit.
One cheat meal is permitted per week. One caveat -- a night drinking on the town counts as 1/2 a cheat meal, so plan and use them wisely!
90 total minutes of exercise a day. That can be 90 minutes of the same exercise, two 45-minute sessions of different things, or anything in between.
Do something to build up your mind too! Whether that's having an aesthetic study day or reading a couple chapters of self-improvement books, fuel your mind in a positive way each day
Daily progress photos and weigh-ins. I personally find that I stick to things better when I have some objective data guiding me, and I wanted some way to have a reason to post updates all 75 days.
I'll put up a pinned post with all of my starting stats and an action plan. I'm doing this for real!
