Lo spettro della zitellaggine salta fuori dall'armadio ogni volta che una donna si pone in modo conflittuale rispetto a quelle che sente come ingiustizie. Pare che se la brava bambina smette di star zitta e compiacente e sceglie di "fare la stronza", facendo notare continuamente cosa c'è da aggiustare nel meccanismo sociale, accada l'orrore degli orrori: queste creature spaventabili che sono gli uomini si terrorizzeranno di lei al punto che nessuno la vorrà mai. Nella concezione patriarcale, la peggiore sventura che possa capitare a una donna è restare senza un uomo, divenendo una creatura egoista dal cuore arido, che camperà triste e morirà sola senza aver mai sperimentato la pienezza della vera femminilità.

È una leggenda e bisogna gridarlo forte.

Gli unici uomini che si spaventano se una donna protesta contro un'ingiustizia sono quelli che hanno la responsabilità deliberata o tacita di quell'ingiustizia.

Gli altri non solo non hanno alcun problema con le donne che protestano, ma sempre più spesso si attrezzano per aiutarle.

one of the funniest things I haven't seen anyone talk about yet about Good Omens s2 is how Aziraphale came up with the plan to get Nina and Maggie together fully knowing Nina had a partner, as Maggie told him that when she was crying.

We as the viewers quickly figured out Nina´s partner was horrible and abusive and she deserved better, but Aziraphale didn't know that.

He was perfectly willing to do some homewrecking along with the romantic Jane Austen ball plans.
