i got into the new big 3 (新御三家) for the sake of shoujoism and seeing their influence on male leads in shoujo which is Soooo fucking obvious when you look at them. music is amazing though (<- can’t resist guys in flare jeans) so i highly encourage everybody to get into them if not just for their flashy performances.
#their faces are also plastered on a lot of shoujo mags so you can’t blame a guy for being curious#wanna post some photos of my hiromi issue later today#manuscript

Gilbert was not actually based off Bjorn, this is a common misconception...he was actually based off Bobby Philips from If... (1968)
Erm...nope. you can see bjorn and gil resemble each other a lot. Plus at that time bjorn was the inspiration for a lot of (blonde) anime characters, and gil is famously one of them. I just checked Bobby philips in if and her hair is too short for Gilbert so I'd still stick that Bjorn is the inspiration behind Gilbert. Similar stories too.
