Kit Island Release! April 30, 2020
This is the official release of my latest world Kit Island. This is a tiny world inspired by New England. The world features a complete downtown with a bar, a coffee shop, a gym, a library, and festival grounds. There is also a cemetery and a small church. The port features a “ferry” that Sims can “take” to go to more jobs on the mainland. The world has every base game rabbit hole, however, Jynx’s Rabbithole rugs were used to achieve this. The grocery store, spa, diner, bistro, office building, bookstore, police station, city hall, and military base all are in buildings on the island, whereas the rest are found on the “ferry.”
Lots:
The world features 48 lots total, most of the lots are small. (20x30 or less usually)
18 commercial lots (all fully built and usable)
20 residential lots (2 houses and 2 “town homes” are built)
The reason I chose not to build every residential lot is because my game is struggling to run smoothly. After building for awhile my game will crash and it is a bit frustrating to deal with. On top of this, I’m not super inspired by the style of this world anymore, especially for residential lots. However, I do plan on using this world since it is so small but still has everything I want in a world and will try to release houses for the empty lots in the future.
Content Needed:
Uses these packs: Late Night, Pets, University Life, Seasons, and Island Paradise.
Custom Content: The download comes with the world as well as a custom content folder. The world only uses the Jynx Rabbithole Rugs as well as Awesims’ Cornices. I’m including both of these in the download, the folder marked “Kit Island CC” can be placed in your mods/packages folder. These are both HIGHLY recommended for game play as well as the aesthetic of the world.
Known issue with a solution: Both of the town home lots in my testing were glitched slightly. When your sim enters the lot, the game doesn’t allow you to switch floors. The solution I found was just to make your sim climb the stairs by clicking on them, and then once the sim enters each floor, the game will allow you to switch between them again. I tried to fix this by removing some debug objects and other things but nothing seemed to work. Otherwise, every lot is thoroughly tested and things like swimming and boating work well, however remember it is a tiny-size world so the boats can’t stray very far from the island.
If any glaring issues are found let me know and I will fix and re-release asap!
Thank you to everyone who has been leaving me asks about this world and pushing me to release it! If you play in this world or build a house to share, please tag your posts on tumblr with #KitIsland

Hi, I love all the work that you do but I was wondering what happen to the Seattle inspired world
I sadly don’t think that world will ever make any more progress as Bridgeport was really difficult to edit more than it should have been.

Some more views of Kit Island... Including the finished little port district. The intention is that all of the rabbitholes will be available when your sims ride on the “ferry” to the main land from the port.

Hiii >-< I'm sorry to ask about this again but I just wanted to see if there's anymore updates on the New England world? and if possible, could we maybe get a birds eye view of the towns layout? >-< Sorry! I'm just super excited for this world!
No, don’t feel bad asking! I have a post coming up and I took some birds-eye pictures! (: Luckily with this quarantine, I have a bunch of time so I am planning on just cranking out the world, and I’ll probably release a finished version as well as a version without any buildings.

Hiii!! I just wanted to stop by and ask if we could get more pictures of your little New England world?! It looks so cute!! Are you planning on releasing it as well? Btw, your worlds are absolutely STUNNING!!
Ok for real this time, I have finished first semester finals for my senior year of high school but my second semester is going to be wayyyyy less busy and I will try to get all of my worlds uploaded in some sort of playable form within the next month or so.

Willapa Valley with Default Atmosphere
To fulfill a request made by @bbgmonea this is a download for Willapa Valley without any modified atmosphere settings, so any lighting mods will now take effect in the world that didn’t before.
Downloading this won’t have any affect on current Willapa Valley saves in your game, and the original world can stay installed in your game.

The Grey Lady
Here’s my brand new build and yes, it’s another apartment building with classy shingle-coastal features.
I know… I know what I promised, but every time I decide to continue or finish one fo my older projects a new idea comes to my mind and this is how The Grey Lady was born. :D

Not really anything new as I’m just making sure the world is fully-playable, but just so you all know I am actually working on it! I’m going to be releasing the world with most of the lots still empty, but otherwise, the world will have every spawner needed and will have been tested and fixed in terms of routing.

Hey I love the pics of your desert world! I know you said you'd upload you but I was just wondering if you still plan to release it - even though its unfinished? Would love to see it and it's sad seeing worlds never get released :)
oh man I’m going to get on this tonight... I’ll try to release it very VERY soon with all the spawners and other important things for playability. And then I’ll probably also release the little island I was working on because I really don’t have time or inspiration to build a bunch of little houses for it...

How long do you think it’s going to take for the desert world?
I may just release it soon unfinished, I don’t see myself actually building all the lots although everything else about the world is finished.

Back with a world post for the first time in a while, had a technical issue where my game would freeze every time I would try to go into edit town but that is now fixed. This is the cute little New England world I’m working on... (my other worlds aren’t abandoned, I just needed something less overwhelming to work on.)
#new england world#kit island#new#oof#this blog is just turning into a showcase of all my impulses#I'll try to flesh out all of my impulses though
