Its taken me a long time to appreciate my life and accept my flaws. I grew up as a tomboy covering every part of my body with too large clothing and trying not to look appealing to anyone and hearing my nannies and aunties talking about other ladies which in turn made me paranoid about how I dressed and judged not only myself but also others before I got to know them.........they would say things like ' Eh he mate tane or hussy' especially if you looked beautiful or wore make up .....so this year when i made the concious decision to learn self care which has been huge for me its been a journey in itself and part of it was squashing all the precieved deceptions of myself and others and learning to love me by getting my eye brows done, learning to wear make up and love it and enhancing my moko kauae journey. Since recieving my moko kauae i have been blessed beyond my dreams i have found a i can and am authentically me with a hint of sas and glow. It has restored a feminity and poise i never knew i had. Thank you to Anikaaro for seeing the beauty in me I could never see in myself I am blessed eveyday to be able to show the world who i am and only give it the dignity of what it deserves i will be forever greatful. To many its a job but for me its a long time coming i have finally found my purpose to practise as a kai whakaruruhau and all the beautiful teachings of mauri ora......a place where i can be naturally me without trying......Ngati Hine stand by the conceptual framework of Mauri Ora and work to He Poutama for this it has felt like a home coming.....i cant wait to start Takarangi training 💗😍😍😍❤️❤️😍😍
