the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.

Now I'm not talking about when you're studying and so you drink 3x the usual amount or something like that. This isn't me asking what your record is. I'm talking about the most basic, average day, how many coffees you drink?

#theyre both difficult tbh. im much more well versed in despair and misery :D#sadness feels too selfish and melodramatic hows that gonna help the situation#and anger feels like too big an emtion that im not entitled to feel#unless its towards myself. but even when i try to be angry at myself i end up giving up. because whats the point#i know i won't be able to change the way i am by being angry at myself. so then we're back at a feeling of helplessness#tho it happens rarely when anger does come its very instinctive#and when sadness does come it just overcomes me and incapacitates me until im normal again

#idk if it counts as a movie “baby reindeer” it counted as a movie on letterboxd. when i started it i hated it#knowing that it was based on true events i was really angry. like why do we have to make entertainment#out of a woman who has issues. and knowing it was from the perspective of a man i wasnt sure how much i could trust the portrayal#i ended up giving it 5 stars because holy fuck. as i went on watching it i started sympathising more with the guy who this happened to#and the stalker woman wasn't simply shown as some crazy woman. her portrayal didnt feel dehumanizing for which im grateful
