if i tell you my response to the "ao3 got scraped for genai again" thing is to write a story about how jd vance killed the pope because he was in heat and the pope wouldn't knot him and it's 1036 words, how many of you would call my mother to have her check on me?

i thinkit would be cool if there was an omegaverse but for salmon instead of wolves. Like when the time comes certain members of society get really juicy musclewise and get yiffy fangs and are suddenly compelled to return to the neighborhood they grew up in and 96 hours later show up barefoot in full starvation mode and ravaged by walking through interstate traffic to fuck whoevwr smells the best in the local burger king. Then afterwards they die and disintegrate to be eaten by seagulls in the parking lot

I was thinking about how much I like magic tattoos, and the soulmate mark trope. Which gave me this interesting idea.
What if bonds, not just mating bonds but all bonds even the ones that are between platonic friends, results in some kind of tattoo that appears on the body representing that person they bonded with. So when you look at someone, you aren't only seeing that person but you see who they're close to.

I always feel conflicted when it comes to alpha commands because on one hand, free will is sacred and commands that aren't fully binding, as in can be resisted or don't work unless you're close to the alpha are a good thing. However, the angst potential that comes with commands always ending up being obeyed whether the omega wants to or not are just so good.

General Beta Headcanon
Happy Beta Day folks. 💚 @betasverse 💕 @omegaverse-council 🤙🏽
- betas could be sometimes considered the calmest dynamic
- depending on the au, their heats/ruts/sex drive is very mild and doesn’t effect them as much as it does for alphas and omegas
- betas are their to support their friends with the best and clearest advice that there is to offer
- their scents are more natural, I would think. stuff like grass and rain, something soothing and common that we all know and love
- when faced with the question of not being good enough because they aren’t alpha or omega, beta will just scoff at that person and go on their happy little way being amazing elsewhere
- sometimes I like to think that betas are hella kinky. sometimes their best alpha and omega friends come looking for advice on spicing up their sex life
- betas are sarcastic as heck. you act like a dumbass, you’re gonna get called out and humiliated because of it
- betas have a tendency to be average height
- in my au only the female betas can get pregnant, this can be achieved with by beta males and sometimes alphas
- betas are badasses
- betas have an extremely high need to protect their family and friends when faced with sometime that is challenging them. rather than attacking that thing that is posing a threat, they are more focused on the logically parts of the situation, not wanting to make the wrong move
- betas are amazing critical thinkers, especially in dire moments
short little post. expect more.

Nesting while pregnant
Rearranging the whole house 3 times over
Cleaning the same area for long periods of time because it’s just not clean enough
Making and remaking the nest
Asking for recently rejected nesting materials
“Yes you need to have your scent on it-MORE, scent it MORE please”
Making sure the entire pack (family) has scented something so they can add it to the nest
Talking aloud to the pup/child and narrating their actions
Hidden snack spots
Long warm baths, helps sooth the body
Maybe little tiny nests around the house, since you never know what will happen, when and where
Long cuddle/bonding times with partner and/or pack
Some nesting hc I randomly thought of and wanted to jot down.

OMEGAVERSE MATE REJECTION ANGST
HI YES I NEED ANGST SOCIOLOGY THINGS IM MAKING A COMPILED LITTLE BOOK FOR MY OWN HYPERFIXATIONS AND I WANT TO HEAR MORE ABOUT HOW MATE REJECTION WORKS. !!!!!!!!!! IF THATS A THING AT ALL IN YOUR AU
ooo i haven’t really given this much thought before. maybe i’ll write a post on mating with more in-depth ideas, but for now, this is what comes to mind:
in normal circumstances, bites wouldn’t be exchanged unless all parties were certain about the commitment
if a pair is bite-bonded and for some reason things don’t work out, the process of separating their lives is painful
bites scars that have been made semi-permanent through bite powder/ink can be lasered away, but it’s painful and expensive (much like tattoo removal)
the longer-term or more intimate the relationship, the more discomfort separation causes
‘breakup sickness’ can manifest similarly to ferality, with the person’s body anxious for a connection it’s lost. however, the affected person doesn’t lose their faculties the way someone experiencing ferality would.
‘breakup sickness’ puts people at higher risk for ferality, and it’s crucial to offer support and affection to a packmate who has lost a partner in this way
#headcannon#minus bite stuff#my headcannon for bites is that they fade in 4 years regardless of relationship#and that they heal fast if the partner was mated non consensually

Hi there! I have seen a lot of omegaverse headcannons in tumblr and i realized that pups are only talked about when they are kiddies, however, what happens when they turn into adults? Do their alpha/omega parents till have the same the same bounds of protectiveness around them or that same instinct decrease when the pups are indeendent and self-sufficient? And do the pups's bond around their parents change as they grow up, mature mentally and realize that their parents are way of a person more than just "protectors"? What are your headcannons at this?
Im asking this because imagining an scenario in which a full grown and buff alpha that is super stoic, tough, serious and protector in public and work but at the same time is still hyper cuddly and lovey-dovey when it comes to their omega parent is hillarous to me, specially due the size difference lol (and sorry if there are grammar mistakes, einglish isnt my first lenguage)
All children will eventually - either happily or unhappily learn that their parents are no more or less human then they themselves are.
A good parent will always feel protective of their child and wish that their child can feel safe enough to feel child-like around them, even when they have become old and grey.
Your alpha is normal and must have a wonderful relationship with their omega parent to let down their walls like that when they are together. If this dynamic was in a story I was reading I would love to see a time when the roles might reverse and your alpha stepped up for their parent and allowed them to feel safe in return.

Housing~
1. Bathrooms: most houses have giant baths in their bathrooms so the whole family can bathe together. They, of course, have showers as well, but for families with puppies, it’s easier to just bathe when the puppies bathe. Most omegas have multiples, so having bigger baths to bathe all of the puppies at the same time is the smartest. Pups don’t have to stop bathing with their parents until they no longer have a pup scent. And it’s not weird if they do bathe together, the baths are just too small for 3+ adults in them. Bathing is a bonding time for pups and parents.
2. Bedroom: the bedrooms go one of a ton of ways- a toddler bedroom is usually only set up when there’s multiples and they’re all comfortable not sleeping with parents; alpha bedrooms are brighter and usually face the sunrise, a lot of alphas like to greet the morning and are early birds (of course this isn’t every alpha but it’s a good chunk of them); beta bedrooms can go in tons of different ways (as can alpha and omega bedrooms), but they don’t need certain lights and objects for their rooms thus they don’t need as large rooms; omega bedrooms usually need blackout curtains and need to face towards the sun because they get so cold, but don’t like bright lights, they need a couple of nesting areas in their rooms like their bed, a closet, under a desk, etc; finally mated couples rooms are the best of all worlds alphas turn it into their den, omegas turn it into their main nest, betas just like being in their rooms :P
3. Kitchens- depending on how big the pack is, most packs are quite large so they need a big kitchen. Everyone is expected to help in the kitchen, even the small puppies, but they’re just more handing items and tasting don’t be fooled no one is giving a 2 year old a knife and letting them go at it, there’s usually sitting in the kitchen as well as a separate dining room for big packs, just imagine a large Christmas dinner that’s their lives 24/7
4. Garages- if the pack has a garage, it’s kind to let the omegas park inside if they don’t have enough room to all park inside, usually it’s the omegas closest to the door then the betas and then the alphas having to run out to their cars down the street
I have a ton more ideas but I just wanted to talk about pack housing because in our rp our pack is building a new house!~

How to Court an Omega (headcanons ^_^)
-The one wanting to court the omega needs to figure out what they like (duh), but if you give them an impersonal gift, they’ll think you don’t care about them and just want to use them to reproduce. If they don’t like plushies, don’t get them plushies! If they’re in prelaw classes, maybe consider getting them some notebooks or fancy highlighters.
-The omega is in full control whether or not they accept the courting. You can give them as many gifts as you want, but if they’ve already rejected the first one, you’re just going to make them feel awkward (unless they’re sorta manipulative).
-Personal dates!! If they’ve mentioned they love going to the aquarium, take them to an aquarium! It’s not rocket science. Set up picnics, take them to restaurants you think they would like, take them shopping, anything just don’t make it seem like it’s too impersonal.
-Courting lasts from around 1 month to 3 months, after that you can ask them out, and they’re probably going to say yes. Courting and a relationship are not the same things.
-In more traditional families, you have to get the parents’ permission to ask them to be in a relationship.

More pup headcanons because I love talking about pups~
Omega pups don’t grow out of things as quickly as their beta and alpha counterparts, so they tend to get teased. Betas and alphas will stop sucking on pacifiers at age 2/3 while Omegas will stop around 6/7. Omega pups are seen more innocent, but there’s nothing odd about seeing beta or alpha pups with pacifiers either!
Teething is brutal. It’s brutal for our normal babies now, but each dynamic has a different way of teething. Alpha pups will chew on a n y t h i n g. They get in trouble for chewing on wooden things not made for teething a lot. If you see slobber or marks on the leg of your wooden chair, you can pretty much assume it’s your alpha pup. Beta pups are the easiest to teeth. They enjoy little plastic things to chew on and like cold things. Omega pups are the worst. They’re uncomfortable and whiny and scared because their mouths hurt. Pup popsicles are a must for omega pups teething. They’ll chew on them for hours, the little popsicles stay colder longer. If you can distract the omega pup, that’s probably your best bet.
So we know USA customs, so the government is much more hands on with pup raising. They supply the first 3 years of diapers, a small basket crib, a little plush, and a bonus on the parents’ checks. (We have an idealistic idea of society so there’s no like issues with stuff like this). Both parents get as much time off as they need for a newborn pup, especially the birthing parent.
They make little pup relaxers that dissolve in a pup’s mouth just in case they get too anxious or scared. Parents mostly use them on long trips or plane rides, especially with omega pups. Omegas don’t like to be far from their homes, so omega pups are even worse with it. But some parents will abuse the relaxers, so your account tells the cashier how many relaxers you buy in a year. If you go on a trip every month, you’d get through one box in 3 months, so you don’t need to buy a lot of them unless you have a prescription.
Omega pups go one way or the other when going into kindergarden/preschool. They either hold on to their parent’s leg for dear life, having to be coerced with toys and cookies, or they’re in the middle of the puppy pile, making sure everyone is okay. (Beta and alpha pups can do this too it’s just less common!)
You’ll have pup pheromones until you hit around 25. You of course have your own scent as well, but there will be a faint scent of pup under your scent.
I love pups so much y’all I can’t~

I need more awww pups headcanons in omegaverse…
-Omega puppies follow their older siblings around everywhere to the point of the older sibling getting irritated. If the age difference is large, a one year old omega puppy will follow around their seven, eight, nine, etc year older siblings. They grab their plushies and blankets and follow the siblings around. Just imagine a very tiny toddler holding all of their things following around big kids.
-Beta puppies are most likely to be the ones to suck their thumbs or bite on their nails. Pheromones don’t work as well on them, so it’s harder for parents to calm them down.
-Deaf omega puppies not understanding how loud their noises are, so they chirp so loud an entire restaurant can hear them. They’re the ones most likely to make noises in their sleep and move around.
-Sleepy puppies rubbing their eyes and wanting so desperately to finish what they’re doing, but they end up falling asleep on their piece of paper they’re coloring or during an episode of a show they like. The caregivers just come over and get them comfy on the couch, in their playpen, or in their bed.
-Omega pups getting scared of a thunderstorm and hiding. They’re so small so they can fit in a ton of places easily, so their caregivers will check the weather every day and if it looks like it’s going to storm, they tell the little pup to hold their hand. Alpha dads/adas putting their pup in their lap when it starts raining and wrapping them up in a blanket and saying they’re going to protect them from the storm!
-Alpha pups getting stung or bitten by bugs because they think they’re brave enough to fight them, but they don’t realize that they have to kill the bugs or let the bugs outside for them to not hurt them and they growl and swat at the bug like a wasp and end up getting stung and crying. Their omega parent coming in and killing the bug for hurting its baby. Alpha pups will stand in ant beds and wonder why it hurts, but they’re also so young so they don’t know about fire ants.
-Beta puppies afraid of the water, but not finding out until they go on a trip to the beach with their parents and they cry the instant their dad brings them into the water. The omega mom is trying to show them that water is okay and mommy and daddy won’t let the water hurt them, so the beta puppy holds the mom’s hand and stands in the water that goes up to their little knees and the mom sits down in the water and shows them there’s nothing to be afraid of and the pup sitting in the mom’s lap, trying to not panic.
-Pups having sleepovers at omega pups’ houses and them all sleeping in a big nest made by the omegas. And then one by one the pups get scared because their moms aren’t there and the sleepover ends early because one by one everyone gets picked up because they’re upset.
I need all the pup headcanons 🥲
