【blue】
I fly to the sky so calmly blue. I fly thinking. Thinking of things. Thinking of myself, maybe thinking of you. Thinking clouds, thinking of what they do. I don’t get to think of things deeply, because as I fly, I lose control and crash in to the ocean. I crash, somewhere, somewhere with deeper shades of blue, so I swim thinking. Thinking of things. Thinking of myself, maybe thinking of you. I swim deeper, the blue gets deeper too, I think of things deeper. I swim then suddenly I fly, with the same thoughts, I’ve been thinking so blue.

Nobody yet knows who I am , a poem by Jose Garcia Villa: I see this doveglion poem as an existential piece. It talks about the subject of mortality, the beauty of life, and the fear of death all at once. Knowing we have so much life in us, but knowing we’ll eventually all be taken by death. It also talks about identity, thinking that no one really knows who you are, but also your own self not knowing who YOU are. Elements: Bleeding Heart Pigeon: A symbol of passion, displays a bleeding heart. Represents how filipinos are seen, rare but outstanding. Can only be found in the Philippines. Kalachuchi: A flower traditionally offered to the dead. So much life, so vibrant, yet seen as something for the dead. Comma: The writer is the comma poet. Relevance of the images to the poem: The art is existential, so is the poem.
