When or if I started shipping it: Like right after I saw the movie when I was I was seven? But it came back full force after seeing Dory.

My thoughts: Just perfect and so sweet and nothing complicated just love and it’s wonderful??What makes me happy about them: Like just, how they complete eachother? Like the dreamer and realist trope. Also how much Marlin cares about her and how thankful he is for how she’s changed his like also ‘I look at you and I’m home’ like sheesh how can you not ship it What makes me sad about them: The way Marlin said ‘Yes’ when Nemo asked if Dory finding her family meant that they would have to say goodbye. More like goodbye to my heart.Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Um…I think like making Dory too ditzy or not portraying her memory loss properly, but a lot of that is from fics from the first movie before we got the context of Finding Dory.Things I look for in fanfic: Cuteness and proper characterization. My kinks: HUGSWho I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I mean Hank/Dory is pretty cute too just not my thing. My happily ever after for them: Just living together and being happy and nothing bad happening to them ever again. And Marlin doesnt have to cross the ocean again and Dory never has to wory about losing her family just them being HAPPY.

Do you think Dory and Marlin were portrayed as a couple (or an *almost couple) in Finding Dory?

They have obviously gotten closer over the past year. I was so happy that Dory realized that Marlin and Nemo are much more to her than just good friends. They’re family.  As much as it hurts to say this I can’t say that they were portrayed as a couple. However I like that Marlin and Dory are the last characters we see in the last scene. One would think that the last scene would be with Dory and her parents. But this scene was important because Marlin isn’t afraid to show her how proud he is of her accomplishments. He looks at her with so much adoration.And I like how she knows that he’s there and that he’s worried about her without even looking at him.  A fellow Dorlin shipper pointed out to me that the scene mirrored the first scene of Finding Nemo where Marlin and Coral are the first characters we see. This could be a sign? It might be a stretch but I’ll take it:)
