Reed slowly stood himself back upright before going to embrace Irres while he went for his cigarettes. Against his better judgement, he wrapped his arms around Irres and just stood there in timeless silence before looking up. “What if I don’t want better?”

“...They didn’t...” Reed mumbled, still shaken from the last several seconds. Neither of them could seem to make eye contact with one another, it seemed.

Once he was released and Irres stepped away from him, Reed slumped against the bricks and took his handkerchief from the ground tp clean his hands. Anyone else would’ve instinctively lapped at it but Reed couldn’t risk another blood blond in his unlife. Once his hands were clean, the rag fell back to the ground while Reed remained in a state of clear unease despite avoiding frenzy.

Reed’s beast had caught up, not only with the fact that Reed was restrained, but with the gravity of the implications of having Irres’ so close to his neck and it saw red. Without a word, the Malkavian gnashed, squirmed and so on in a desperate attempt to avoid being diablerized.
