High Noon over Camelot character designs!
Some notes:
The only one with real actual humans! Maybe! Who knows. No one said the space station came from earth. Also, not pictured here because unfortunately we don’t have a Saxon main character aside from Mordred, who spends the majority of the show topside, but I very strongly feel that the Saxons wear gas masks. Just wanted to get that out there.
Music inspo: obviously this one is cowboys. I don’t even have to say it. I did try to be a little realistic, specifically with where their clothing comes from, so most of the armor is meant to be scrounged scrap metal. Another thing to remember is that they’re actually bikers, so it was a lot to balance.
The fashion style is meant to be a mix of 830 (King Arthur) and 1700s (western theme).

So I wasn’t planning on ever making my own posts about the murderbot tv show, but this thought has been ricocheting in my head and- while I doubt it’ll ever be confirmed or denied- I think it’s a really interesting parallel given the topic matter of this ep:
I think the “evil” secunit let itself get killed.
I mean, think about it! It’s more advanced than Murderbot. Its kicking MB’s ass without much difficulty. But it’s decapitated by the centipede thing without much of a fight. MB managed to kill one of those in the first episode and still be within operating parameters. You could argue maybe the centipede thing was more ferocious because its eggs were involved, but you’d think this highly advanced secunit would at least do some damage!
And yet… it doesn’t. Earlier in the episode, Murderbot considers what is essentially suicide. At the very beginning, Gurathin says- when he was controlled by the Company!!!- he was seriously considering ending his own life. This secunit is presumably still controlled by its government module. It has arguably even less choice than Gurathin did. I doubt the Company would allow their expensive equipment to just kill itself willy nilly. But if it just goes through the motions? If it only puts up half of a fight, lets something else do the final blow?
I keep thinking about what it said when it was firing at the PresAux team. “Please remain calm. Please remain calm”

I’ve been doing some field work with geologists this winter and I’m kind of amazed by how these dudes can pick up a handful of dirt and talk about it for an hour using terms I’ve never heard of. Like wow you see a whole universe in there that I don’t. The world is truly full of beauty and we only comprehend a fraction of it.

not Murderbot in a 24 hour period going from "my best friend is dead" to "my best friend is alive and we are NO LONGER friends" to "I forgive you" to "let me get you pregnant"
