Now above is a poster of Andy Warhol on the left side. He is standing in a t-shirt and boxing gloves, and also has a straight face into the viewers eyes and Jean Michel Basquiat on your right side is shirtless with boxing gloves and he is also looking into the viewers eyes with a devilish look. This poster has a mustard yellow background with red stars. And Jean Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol has black and white on each others so that the picture could standout. Now the title of this poster is called, “Warhol Basquiat Exhibition Poster”. The photographer name is Micheal Halsband, this poster was created in 1985. This poster was actually for a show in New York; however, the poster itself is now famous and popular and is now known. This poster is very interesting to me because, there are two grown men that both has boxing gloves on each other; however, one has a straight face and the other person has a devilish look on him. Now that was the reason I chose to pick and write about the “Warhol Basquiat Exhibition Poster.”

I Love Memphis by Marshall, Brandon

          This is a painting that is located in Memphis, Tennessee. This painting is also painted by, Brandon Marshall that is also from Memphis. Brandon Marshall passion for graffiti started in a general street art evolved into more traditional fine art canvas work in the Bluff City. Brandon inspiration also come from the daily life, other people, and his surroundings. This mural's hold lettering on bright red background that creates a high contrast visual statement that attracts many visitors. However, as I look at this painting it means a lot. It's basically just saying I love my home town. That is what I think the painting means. And the reason I chose to pick this art and right about it because, its down the street from where I am at, its also is where I am from, and because I love Memphis. This is my reason I chose to write about this art work.

Blog #9 Talking about Language

           Now that I have talk to you about the important facts of English and the things that you may have not known about the language of English, I just want to talk to you today about why English is the world’s most language. Well, I was thinking about why is the English the world’s most language, so I decided to look it up and get more information about it. So as I was looking it up, one of the reasons was, English is the language of the Internet. Because, more than half of the entire online material is published in English, and that is mainly true; however, I have saw some little Spanish on the internet. Now my answer to why is English the worlds most language well because, English is so widely spoken, it has often been referred to as a "world language", the lingua franca of the modern era, While English is not an official language in most countries, it is currently the language most often taught as a second language around the world. So this is the reason English is the most world’s language.

      Now since I've also talk to you about the important facts about the English Language, now I am back to talk about the things you didn't know about the English Language. So there are at least ten things that you may not know about the English language, so the first thing is, the only major language without an academy to guide it, second, more than 1 billion people are learning English in 2000, and Of the hundred most frequently used words in English, 96 have Germanic roots. Together, those 100 words make up more than 50% of the Oxford English Corpus that is which currently containing over 2 billion words that is found in writing around the world, and there are so many more things that you may not know. So if you would like more information, go look it up online because, there are so many thing about the English language that I think you should know. Now I have finally talked to you about the English language, the important facts about the English language, and now the things you may not know about the English language.

            Now since I've already talk to you about the importance of the English language, there are more things that you will need to know about the English language. Now today what I am going to talk to you about is what are the different type of language in English. The English language has two official different types of English languages they are British English and American English The reason they are different English is because, they are different terms. Like British,this term is used to distinguish the quality of written English language used in the UK from other varieties. Now American English, It is characterized by archaisms, words that changed meanings in the UK, but remained in the colonies, and innovations in vocabulary (borrowing from the French and Spanish who were also settling in North America). That is why there different English languages, because they have different terms.

     I just want to start off by talking about language. What is the first thing that pops up in your head when you hear language? Well the first thing that pops in my head is English, well English is the West Germanic language of England, now widely used in many varieties throughout the world. Language is so wonderful to use and a lot of people speak English. Now there is so much history in the language of English like,  it was originated from Anglo-Frisian dialects brought to Britain in the 5th to 7th centuries.

There are also so many importance of English, like communication by the use of sounds or communicational symbols. It is a code that we all use to express ourselves so we can communicate with others. Language is our primary source of communication. It's the method through which we share our ideas and thoughts with others. There are several factors that make the English language essential to communication in our current time. First of all, it is the most common foreign language, which means that two people who come from different countries for example, a Mexican and a Japanese usually use English as a common language to communicate. That’s why everyone needs to learn the language in order to get in touch on an international level. Speaking it will help you communicate with people from countries all over the world, not just English-speaking ones. That's why English is so important to me and its another reason why I think of English when I hear the word language.

      Hi everyone my name is Johnna Jones. I was born and raised in Munford Tennessee and graduated from Munford High School. Now I am a freshman at Christian Brothers University playing basketball on a full ride scholarship for CBU. My major is sports management and I plan to coach girls basketball on a college level.

      My passions that I have is being a great basketball player. I started playing basketball when I was five years old and it’s been my passion ever since then. Basketball been my one thing that I love so much. Another passion that I have is drawing, drawing is something that I picked up along the way. I learned how to draw when I was in the fifth grade and ever since then I've been drawing for fun.

      Now there are some things that I have to do to unwind myself is like, listen to my favorite music. Music will calm me down a lot. So those are some things that are about my life and my passion that I have and what I do to unwind myself when I'm not in a good mood.
