Have been stealing away the nephew due to his dog being ill (fatally now unfortunately) and it's still wild being the preferred relative. Yesterday, my brother's heart broke in real time when the kid refused to sit by him at the restaurant because he wanted to sit by me 🥲. He eventually handled it like a champ, tho.

But yeah, we have him on and off this week just to get him out of the house. So, I get to be the cool aunt.

What we can gather is that their dog always had a seizure disorder and at some point last week he more or less had a seizure no one was around for and compressed or partially severed his spinal cord causing what was basically constant pain and partial paralysis. They also found out he was in the beginning stages of cancer and with added arthritis weakening his spinal column, there was just nothing to be done that would give him any sort of quality of life short of dropping tens of thousands that weren't guaranteed to save him or do much at all.

The vet said the medication he was given would've already worked if it was going to work at all, and it just didn't.

He was a sweet old boy, though. He was always happy to see everyone. He's not suffering anymore. Rip Riley.

Yeah. What I'm specificing here is the romantic angle. What I have seen is people stating she needs another romantic relationship to "heal" to "move on". Even the cast jokingly saying "she can't f**k a raven." While Marisha was saying she never moved on. The casts' opinions aren't really Marisha's opinions here, and that's fine, that makes sense.

Keyleth never wanted a romantic relationship in the first place. She's not going to actively seek another one. She's essentially a widow and bitter about that, but she's not wallowing in a corner somewhere.

The argument she needs to romantically move on might be more valid if she were literally anyone else.

She doesn't need nor want romance to fulfill her. And the romance she wants is with Vax. Vax was and is enough. He was it.

Everyone and everything else in her life now is enough to move forward if not to move on, which she doesn't want to do. That doesn't mean she hasn't healed.

There are tons of people, young and old, who admit that if their lover or spouse died they wouldn't pursue another romantic relationship, and there's nothing wrong with that. That doesn't mean they aren't whole or fulfilled by the life they're living.

The way the response to Watcher right now is so universally negative is wild. They really didn't think this through at all. I agree with the sentiment that Steven Lim seems to be the driving force here, but as majority share holders, Ryan and Shane aren't innocent, and that's upsetting.

Can they even come back if they backtrack, and what does that even look like are good questions.
