MiserablesMoments’ updated version of Lesmisloony’s hilarious Les Mis Blooper Reel.
Some of these are real bloopers: flubbed lyrics, cracked high notes and missed entrances. Others are intentional ad-libs: unscripted swear words and altered lyrics from “muck-up matinées.” We also hear show-interrupting mishaps from the theatres (e.g. a fire alarm and evacuation in the middle of “Castle on a Cloud”), and a few Valjeans who don’t do anything technically wrong, but just make weird, funny sounds because their voices aren’t quite suited to the powerhouse high notes. In that category of course, the standout is Vikidál Gyula’s unforgettable “2-4-6-0-1!!!!!”
But one thing they all have in common is that they all bring something unexpected to our familiar musical. :)
