He has nyctophobia (fear of the dark)

Dancing & singing along to the theme is more of a really strong compulsion. When Lux took over the body of Mr. Ring-A-Ding, he not only gained his body but his personality. Lux & Ring-A-Ding are one & the same, so when it comes to his jingle the impulse is too strong to resist.

He actually enjoyed seeing Reginald with his dead wife, despite using her as leverage to manipulate him

Being a god, Lux never experienced anything that required a physical form until his time in the Toon's body. Pain? Walking? Tasting? All new.

Being modeled after a Lightning Bug, he can emit a soft gold glow from his abdomen. He needs to "charge it up" though, he can't do it if it's been awhile since he's been exposed to light he can't do it. That's why he couldn't in the picturehouse.

Since he learned perspective, struggles to get up and down stairs, he most likely would be asking the reader to carry them around.

Puppy dog eyes or acts like he’s drained after two steps on a staircase then asks to be carried the rest of the way.

Oh my dear God yes especially since now that he's exposed to all light everywhere at once he can just grow to make it not so difficult but he still chooses to be that small! He'd definitely sometimes go taller for whatever reason but getting carried by his partner would be a big factor for staying on the smaller side I bet. Plus if you surprise pick him up or it's like the first time I see him making those 'oh' and 'ooo' sounds he did when going 3d...oooo and just the back and forth of it all before hand of him being all dramatic while his partner stands there exasperated, or if someone sees em out in public and stares so Lux gets sassy and all asking 'never seen a god with their human?' Or somethin while crossing his arms over his chest...maybe sticking his tounge out too depending on his mood.

No matter what he'd be a lil shit about it in the best way

I can't sleep and no other reqs are in so Lux hcs with a insomniac reader time boiz!!!

-I'm not sure he even realized you need sleep at first tbh- I mean gods don't and he isn't all that familiar with human habits so at first he's seeing no issues with this

-Once you start showing frustration over it and want to sleep he realizes though and feels bad for you cause I don't think he can help much

-This will lead to a library trip or two so he can study up on ways he can help you sleep cause we know his ass isn't using the internet!

-Honestly that could be a night if yall have the patience, teaching him how to use the internet and watching him explore it and ask questions

-He explains its different using the internet then it is being IN the electronic

-Now in all seriousness once he knows things that can help he'll be imploying so many methods just to see what helps

-I'm talking diming the lights, making sure you're in comfy pj's, relaxing activities, TEA

-He will so cuddle up with you and sing or hum while playing with your hair to try and help

-Lux will fake sleep to just to see if it helps

-Honestly there will be a lot of late nights watching old old cartoons with yall cozied up together

-He'll use this as a excuse to stargaze wth you too and tell you cool facts about the stars and galaxy

-Sometimes he'll end up asleep when fake sleeping with you and then you're just stuck cause he's a total cuddle bug and much stronger then he looks....it won't help you fall asleep either because he does the most over dramatic snores like- HONK mimimi cartoon ones

-I DIDNT MENTION THE PJS!

-He'll make cartoons for himself that are just the scrooge fit with the lil hat and everything

-When you finally fall asleep though? He's making sure nothing and I mean NOTHING wakes you up

-That said if you're someone that struggles staying asleep kinda insomnia he'll try to lul you back to sleep everytime you wake up

-And I'm sorry insomniacs that struggle to get up because he'll force you up😞 like- shoving you up and all energetic

-He's just such a morning person it's repulsive....as a non morning person

-Don't give him coffee no matter how much he begs and uses puppy dog eyes and his lil sound track plays sad music

What are your hcs regarding Lux when another member of the Pantheon threatens, even if involuntarily or just by nature of their existence snd their other stuff, a person that he has an interest in? Do his loyalties still lie with his old group, or would he try to take action for the people?

I will go ahead and warn I've never actually watched a single episode of doctor who and am going completely off of vibes and tiktoks

-Now then I will say his reaction will vary because if they can't help it he gets it, that said he still will want them to get the hell away from his light

-In terms of he gets it though it's more a sense of 'I know you can't help this so move away' and less a 'well that can't be helped' since he's a god too, he knows how little they usually care about humans

-Even his fellow gods that do care more about people can forget how fragile humans can be

-It doesn't help so many don't find a human they take a liking to, which is fair given even Lux never thought he'd care about anything besides his darling light

-With all this said, if the gods on purpose wanting to hurt his darling? He is immediately forgoing all loyalties to his fellow gods, his cuffs are off, even if in that toony way they hold their fists up you can still tell he's ready to do what it takes

-Granted I also see him going the route of moving his person away from that God causing trouble, an excuse to keep his darling close

-Which if the god ends up hurting his darlings friends or family I'm not sure he's gonna care but not in a malicious way, just a way of disconnect

-If the god keeps young specifically for his person though? I go back to the fact he's ready to fight

-It especially helps he's not trapped in the cinema or anything so he can pack a real punch instead of using other means to gain a upper hand against his opponent, and will still have toon logic to use to his advantage

-I'd dare say he'd even team up with say the doctor if things came to it he cares about you that much

-He'll make sure you know he cares that much about you too, expect him to be very protective of you after the fact (as if he isn't already before it)

-Like you're not leaving his line of sight, you're not leaving his side even since usually he can watch you through the light around you

-I don't even wanna think of if he fails to protect you either because he won't be recovering any time soon and will take his anger out on which ever of his fellow gods caused this, hell even if you're just injured from it he'll be constantly apologetic trying to make it up to you

Now then under the cut are general hcs I have of him/him with a partner

- First off he mellows out considerably when freed from the cinema, call it the warmth of the suns rays or just joy in being whole again but he's calmer

-This said he still deals with toon habits of his like singing or humming that ring a ding song to himself while watching humanity and the general cosmos

-Which on that subject he loves humans! He thinks we are so silly but also he loves how we make so many forms of light, such as atomic bombs to the light of a space shift going into orbit and just plain electricity and fire!

-He really likes space in general to be honest, don't think it was a coincidence he was in the 1950's when the space race was happening yall (I think it was)

-Now with this all said he can become more 'real' again by concentrating light to form himself or rather his toonish body he prefers when he gets bored and wants to mess about somewhere

-He still says the 'what a fine and dandy day, who might you be?' Schtick which is how he'll introduce himself to you as well even if he's been watching you a bit before this and even though he knows this was gonna be out of the ordinary

-He just loves making grand entrances what can he say

-That said when he gets interested in a human he gets INTERESTED not full on yandere but enough you're not getting away

-He is a God after all, he's not above using his powers to his advantage

-Speaking off he toon logics so many things from fake cartoon hearts around his head as he looks at you lovingly to pulling out a cartoonishly large item from his jacket pocket because you asked for it

-He prefers you call him Lux over Mr. Ring-a-ding

-He'll take you stargazing at night and nerd out so much about the different constellations!!!

-Really everything with him will feel very 'go go go no time for breaks we gotta keep moving' because he's so high energy but also because compared to his immortality you're just a blip for him, something he'll blink and miss

-He'll never tell you this but that's why he's trying to squeeze out every moment with you he can to enjoy life with you, because sure he's everywhere and no where at all times but he just wants to be with you

-I think he'd like older cartoons to, like real old school cartoons with 'Who framed Roger rabit' being the only 'new' film he'll watch
