mhmmmm, right but thats unsustainable, if this person who has the best intentions buys a house and gives it to someone, they r unable to help more people because they can’t afford another home. acting ethically to help the most people would mean low rent and then using that to save to buy another house to help another person by offering low rent.

So, I have. A dream. And I want to run it by you so I can fully asses whether or not I'm an asshole because I don't think I am, but. I want to become a landlord so I can intentionally do the opposite of all of the things we see landlords doing. Low rent bc it doesn't need to be crazy, letting people be late on payments bc shit happens, not forcing background checks bc that's unfair, etc. Am I an idiot or is this a thing I should try to do?

youd be better off giving people those houses than renting them in the first place.
